Hello everyone!!!!!
It's almost that time. We're just getting my balls situated for the night now.
I have to get ready, and also get my dinner prepared for New Year Day dinner with family. Yes, I will be cooking my Pork and sauerkraut dinner as usual. I wanted the very traditional Auld Lang Syne for this post or What Are You Doing New Year's Eve, both lovely songs, but I will opt for the vintage and fun song from the 1976 Rankin Bass animated cartoon Rudolph's Shining New Year! My wish for everybody for 2023!
As always, I thank each and every one of my blog readers and followers a wonderful holiday season. You have no idea how your comments and daily visits tickle me so, and I'm so happy to have such a zany bunch of fun-loving, and like-minded people visit such as yourselves. I love ya all!
Have a WONDERful 2023 and HAPPY nEW Year Everyone!!!

ReplyDeletei have the feeling three legs might be up.
DeleteMs Moorecock was right.
DeleteHappy New Year, and have fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there will be a lucky recipient to see your big hand hit 12, and see the balls drop.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Kid!!!
Happy New Year, sweetpea! We'll be raising a glass or god only knows how many in your honor tonight!! xoxo from your Lamb Chop ;)
ReplyDeleteHope you survived your birthday and New Year festivities!!!!!
DeleteHave a gay old time, my dear. Your balls... rarely situated... but constantly orally-manipulated. I also misread: I thought you said night shirt and tie... which suits you, darling. Just so! Kizzes.
ReplyDeleteThere may have been some oral manipulation that night.....
DeleteHappy New Year! ππ
ReplyDeleteAs a kid I always remembered having such mixed emotions about New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. On 1 hand everything just felt so good in the sense of closing out a year during the Holiday Season and then starting out all new and fresh. On the flip side, it was kinda saddening as NYD pretty much is the end of the Holiday Season. And this song bring back great memories as kid watching this classic.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Maddie
Have a wonderful night and Happy New Years!!!! Happy 46th Anniversary Rudolph’s Shiny New Year!!! Sounds like a wonderful night with friends.
ReplyDeleteYou'll be dashing in your shirt and bow tie!!!! Have a wonderful and happy New Year too!!! Loved to listen to this tune!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Be safe and don't do anything I wouldn't!! See ya in 2023!
ReplyDeleteI just adore you and this blog! Happy New Year Mistress!!!! Adore that song too. My kids watched when young and I had the joy of meeting Mr. Red Skelton twice, who was the voice of Father Time in this great animation special.
ReplyDeleteWe need to sit and talk about your life one day!!! This is one of my favorite holidays classics. But I love all those Rankin and Bass specials. I recall one where Dame Angela Lansbury voiced a nun.
DeleteYou are an exciting new friend, Mistress, and your blog is informative, inspiring and artistic and naughty. I wish you a very happy new year!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year my friend! May the new year be brighter and more adventurous. xo
ReplyDeleteLove your picture of the New Year's Eve provisions.
More Adventurous might be right. Warbucks was generous again . Seems travel will be back on the board.
DeleteAnd a splendid new year to you too! oxxo
ReplyDeleteTundra Bunny here... You and your blog are a delight to follow, Maddie! I'm wishing you a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year too! Kiss Buster Borghese for me at midnight, LOL!
ReplyDeleteBack at you Tundra!!!!! Happy New Year!!!!!
DeleteHappy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not the least bit surprised you've had to polish your big shiny balls for a New Year's Eve event! Where do you find the energy? I, being in the very last time zone on the planet (literally) am perpetually late to any party, but I've already had my fun messing with the time-space continuum for the night.Have fun! See you in the new year!
ReplyDeleteIt was a very low-key New Year's Eve compared to most years but seemed to fit this year. A nice dinner out, and then cock-a-tails at a friend's house, small and intimate, around 16 guest to ring in the New Year. It's sort of cool to be the last ringing it in no? You guys can end it with the big bang!!!!!
DeleteWe've just toasted in the New Year in, watching the most spectacular fireworks display over the Thames in London (on telly, of course!), with champers and nibbles. Happy New Year, dear Maddie!
ReplyDeleteClink, clink, sweetie... Here's to 2023! Jx
Happy New Year Gin Blossom!!!!!!!!! I saw the video of the fireworks, they were spectacular!!!!
DeleteLondon always pulls out all the stops - but this year, the first time anyone was able to be there in person post-pandemic, the show was better than ever! Jx
DeletePork and sauerkraut. You should be a Clevelander. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeletePork and Sauerkrat is a huge PA Dutch tradition here. Hard pressed to find many households that don't have some kind of variation of it. Nice to know it goes on there too. Happy New Year!
DeleteChoucroute (sauerkraut and sausage) is a popular dish in northern France although I cannot think why. Sauerkraut also sounds very much like Korean kimchi.
DeleteHope the night was all you expected. Wishing you a memorable first day of 2023.
ReplyDeleteJust back from our mountain getaway, in time to say HNY Maddie, and cheers to a fabulous 2023!
ReplyDeleteYou two are dears!!!!! I sure hope you had a fabulous get away!!! A nice way to ring out the year I say!!!!
DeleteHappy New Year, Sweetie!!
