NEW YEAR'S EVE

Hello everyone!!!!!

It's almost that time. We're just getting my balls situated for the night now.

Ready or not, the New Year is finally almost here! I'm signing off a bit early to get ready for the night, shirt and bow tie is ready.... dinner out with a few friends and then a small intimate cock-a-tail party and overnight stay with the Capital Street Duo. I'm sure the Dame will love my contribution to the night....

I have to get ready, and also get my dinner prepared for New Year Day dinner with family. Yes, I will be cooking my Pork and sauerkraut dinner as usual. I wanted the very traditional Auld Lang Syne for this post or What Are You Doing New Year's Eve, both lovely songs, but I will opt for the vintage and fun song from the 1976 Rankin Bass animated cartoon Rudolph's Shining New Year! My wish for everybody for 2023!

As always, I thank each and every one of my blog readers and followers a wonderful holiday season. You have no idea how your comments and daily visits tickle me so, and I'm so happy to have such a zany bunch of fun-loving, and like-minded people visit such as yourselves. I love ya all!

Have a WONDERful 2023 and HAPPY nEW Year Everyone!!!

  8. Have a gay old time, my dear. Your balls... rarely situated... but constantly orally-manipulated. I also misread: I thought you said night shirt and tie... which suits you, darling. Just so! Kizzes.

  10. As a kid I always remembered having such mixed emotions about New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. On 1 hand everything just felt so good in the sense of closing out a year during the Holiday Season and then starting out all new and fresh. On the flip side, it was kinda saddening as NYD pretty much is the end of the Holiday Season. And this song bring back great memories as kid watching this classic.

    Happy New Year Maddie

  14. I just adore you and this blog! Happy New Year Mistress!!!! Adore that song too. My kids watched when young and I had the joy of meeting Mr. Red Skelton twice, who was the voice of Father Time in this great animation special.

    1. We need to sit and talk about your life one day!!! This is one of my favorite holidays classics. But I love all those Rankin and Bass specials. I recall one where Dame Angela Lansbury voiced a nun.

  19. I'm not the least bit surprised you've had to polish your big shiny balls for a New Year's Eve event! Where do you find the energy? I, being in the very last time zone on the planet (literally) am perpetually late to any party, but I've already had my fun messing with the time-space continuum for the night.Have fun! See you in the new year!

    1. It was a very low-key New Year's Eve compared to most years but seemed to fit this year. A nice dinner out, and then cock-a-tails at a friend's house, small and intimate, around 16 guest to ring in the New Year. It's sort of cool to be the last ringing it in no? You guys can end it with the big bang!!!!!

  20. We've just toasted in the New Year in, watching the most spectacular fireworks display over the Thames in London (on telly, of course!), with champers and nibbles. Happy New Year, dear Maddie!

Clink, clink, sweetie... Here's to 2023! Jx

    1. Pork and Sauerkrat is a huge PA Dutch tradition here. Hard pressed to find many households that don't have some kind of variation of it. Nice to know it goes on there too. Happy New Year!

    2. Choucroute (sauerkraut and sausage) is a popular dish in northern France although I cannot think why. Sauerkraut also sounds very much like Korean kimchi.
