LIBERA
Carol of the Bells has always been one of my favorite Christmas tunes, and this song is based on the Ukrainian folk chant "Shchedryk", also known as the Bell Carol, performed here by the youth choir Libera.
This is my nightmare Xmas carol! Seriously... this will be stuck in my head the day they haul me off to the asylum! I find it so terrifying and menacing. Kizzes.
Very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBRAVO to the choir master. Getting all these little guys to perform with such disciplined precision is magnificent. Happy Christmas Mistress.
ReplyDeleteThis gave me goosebumps!!! Absolutely incredible voices and arrangements and I find a peace come over me every time I hear this.
ReplyDeleteThe was definitely beautiful. and what a more perfect, timely selection.
ReplyDeleteSo angelic 😇
Very beautiful and peaceful.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my faves, too, and this version is one of the best I’ve ever heard. The Málaga light show opened with it when we were there.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of my favorite Christmas carols, and this is the first time I've heard this version by this Youth Choir.
DeleteFirst I've heard of it being based on something Ukrainian. Makes sense in retrospect
ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteWe went to see them here in Chi. They came to this tiny theater in the suburbs. The voices are fantastic. Really.
XOXO
