Nothing like an impromptu weekend jolly. My friend Ryan from Rochester had called me last week to see if I wanted to catch an art exhibit with him as he had tickets to see a fashion exhibit, but a friend of his couldn't make it. So he called to see if I'd be interested. Turns out it was Homecoming Queen, and it came back for a five-day revisit to the Rochester Art Center. I wanted to see this the first time it came around but missed due to scheduling and timing and a little thing called the pandemic. Rochester is the closet it came to me, so I said yes. Mind you, I should have been in the garden tending to it, but no way was I missing this again. Homecoming Queen was the exhibit of Ethan Mundt, aka Utica, a very talented drag queen who appeared on the 13th season of Drag Race and who in my ever-humble opinion should have won. She was by far the most creative and the performance queen of the season, but alas, we know the deep conceptual does always win. The exhibit was 4,000 square feet of orgasmic dream for me and featured mannequins dressed in Utica's most stunning garments from the season and further, her original design sketches, large scale editorial photos of the Drag Race alumna and a swell video highlighting Utica's background, growing up, and her thought and creative process. I'm here to tell you, the screen does nothing for these looks the queen's wear. To see the wardrobe up close and the details was something. But Utica is also not your average Drag Race queen. These garments were practically like couture. Easy to see why she is leaning into fashion design. All created, designed and hand made by Utica herself. She should be proud. To my knowledge she is the only drag queen, even over RuPaul herself, to ever have a whole exhibit of her wardrobe to be featured as an art installation, made with her own hands. Is it any wonder Lexi Love wore so many of Utica's creations this season, and other queens are flocking or is it frocking, to her? Another plus? We got to see Kasha Davis performing later that night out.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY
Yep, still disgusted and it grows weekly!
They have no idea the truth here.
Meanwhile, my congratulations to our friends in the Great North for having the sense and intelligence of voting to keep a smart thinking democracy and country for all! I hope the idiots here took notice.

JIGGLY BOARD
It was sad news to learn yesterday on my way home that Queen Jiggly Caliente passed away. I had heard news last week from friends of her health failing and planned on doing a post of well wishes of sorts to send good vibes her way, only to hear her health declined further after a severe infection, was hospitalized, and as a result loss most of her right leg. Jiggly was a luminous presence in the world of drag and was celebrated for her infectious energy, fashion statements, fierce attitude, dance numbers and unwavering authenticity. Jiggly was also known by her real name of Bianca Castro-Arabejo as she came out as a transgender in 2016, while she had already begun the process while of RuPaul's Drag Race and publicly acknowledged it later. She went on the do an All-Stars season, became a regular on Pose and was later named the head judge of RuPaul's Drag Race Philippines for two seasons...in addition to an outspoken activist for the LGBT.Rest well Queen.

IN THREE WORDS
In this feature, I'll share a weekly guest with you each week,
and you tell me in only three words, what comes to mind.
In Three Words...
Gaylord Nelson
See ya next week...
I'll be out of town for the weekend!
ALL HAIL.....
Queen Onya Nurve
After a great season, it was pretty easy to see why Onya was crowned the Queen. She checked all the boxes henny. And proved in the final lip synch that she didn't need reveal after reveal, but just old school, attitude and performance to snatch that crown! I was telling Sixpence the reason I always like the Lip Synch Lalaparozza and the finale shows is because it's really the only time the queens can be themselves with no restrictions to show their real style with exception to entrance looks. This finale didn't disappoint. All of Onya looks were jaw dropping.
My other favorites were, after Onya...
Accacia Forgot
Maybe she should have gone bigger on the show, and she might have went further. But this...I do believe I even squealed with excitement when her heel hit the corner and came out. I love big and huge gowns and she brought it. Now THIS is finale Eleganza...huge coiffed updo, gorgeous gown and color and a snatched waist. And the Forget-me-Not flowers? Very Clever Accasia!
Suzie Toot
Of course, my girl Susan Tooth would be here!!! Suzie has done it again! She went and did a nod to Little Shop of Horrors again, this time the whole plant, with her arms as the tentacles. Theatre kid slay! Color-gorge, hair-gorge, makeup-gorge. I also loved the snapping flower pods when she emerged as almost saying how she was eating the girls up all season. Never mind she also won the most money right behind Onya!
Crystal Envy
My gal pal was cool, sleek and it was cunty and sooooo Crystal.Loved the cutouts and the draping of the back velvet, but I did say to her the corset part should be larger and tighter to counteract the odd fit on her torso and her breast contour. Girl the titties look far apart. She wasn't to mad...I did secure her for the gay pride festivities her in Harrisburg come Pride month for the committee.
Lydia B Kollins
Jewels Sparkles
No Drag Race finale would be complete without a massive fuckoff gown and not since Voilet Chachki have I seen one done so well. Mind you, I was not the biggest fan of Jewels this season, but I admit this is Princess Peach meets Ariana Grande, with a pinch of Lana Del Rey and a cup of Priscilla Presley meets cunt. This look is literally insane and moved well and fits right into the overreaching canon of Jewels' work.
And three honorable mentions...
Joella
Probably the best I have ever seen her look and a fun nod to a huge disaster from the season that cost her to go home and sunk her faster that the Titanic went down.
Kori King
It's no secret I couldn't stand Kori King. Still don't know how she got by so long with the same old beaten looks every challenge, and I still don't enjoy him. She'd be perfect for a Mister Ed reboot, but I give the bitch kudos for FINALLY bring a stunning, cunty Power Ranger villain look and it eats. She got it all right with this one including a high wig.
And Arrietty
