Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent. Two of my favorite hottie interior designers. Not only good looking, but very talented. I admire their clean chic lines, and no clutter interiors. I also like an interior with newness mixed with vintage finds and old family antique pieces. So no surprise I love their style. Nate and Jeremiah have unveiled their biggest labor of love to date besides their new digs,in the October issue of Architectural Digest..... their 5-month-old daughter, Poppy, in the family’s new apartment in New York City. Even cuter... Poppy joined her proud dads for the issue shoot, showing the world just how much she’s grown since making her debut. I just loved the spread, as these two gave me some wonderful ideas for some redecorating I'm in the planning stages of here at the Casa du Borghese. It's interesting where life takes one. My original background and degree is in interior design. and while I still do freelance, I never expected to land years later in visual display!!!! I guess it's the best of both worlds. But how stunning is this apartment????

This weekend if your in the New Hope area, or in the area and need to escape all the Pope hub bub, a talented group of queens is just the ticket!!!! The Kinsay Sicks is bringing "Chicks with Shticks" to The Rrazz Room, Bucks County's premier intimate performance space located in the heart of New Hope. The RRazz Room's intimate world-class setting invites all to experience affordable top tier live talent the way it was meant to be - Up Close and Personal. You never heard of them??? The Kinsey Sicks began in 1993 as a group of friends who went to a Bette Midler concert in San Francisco dressed as the Andrews Sisters. Assuming they'd be among many drag queens, they found themselves to be the only ones. They were approached that night to perform at an upcoming event. Their reply - "we don't sing" - was quickly disproved when they realized that all of them had musical backgrounds. They began singing and harmonizing that night, and the seed for the Kinsey Sicks was planted. Since then they have a phenomenal performance record that includes an Off-Broadway show, an extended run in Vegas, two feature films, eight albums, and appearances throughout the US (in over 40 states),Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Australia, The Kinsey Sicks hardly need an introduction. For over 20 years, America's Favorite Dragapella Beauty Shop Quartet has served up a feast of music and comedy to audiences at performing arts centers, music venues and comedy festivals in every kind of town you can imagine! Their award-winning a cappella singing, sharp satire and over-the-top drag have earned the Kinsey Sicks a diverse and devoted following. The Kinsey Sicks are from L-R from above- Trixie, Winnie, Rachael and Trampolina!
Tickets for September 25 &26 can be purchased here.
Do you love RuPaul's Drag Race? Cured breakfast meats? The peppy, Love Shack-rattling sounds of the B-52's? Well, then, Jinkx Monsoon's new music video for "The Bacon Shake," starring B-52's mouthpiece Fred Schneider and a bunch of dancing boys dressed like strips of Sizzlean, is the video for you. And I love that she keeps touches of her Vaudevillian talents. Is Jinkx on a hot streak or what?

Alyssa Edwards has become my number 2 search topic on my blog, averaging about 200 hits a day!!!!! So I figure you good people out there want to know the T about her. Well...... He choose his name in homage to Alyssa Milano, and to his drag mother Laken Edwards.Alyssa is part of the drag family "the House of Edwards" and help launched drag queens, Shangela and Laganja Estranja. Alyssa appeared in the 2008 documentary Pageant, which focused on the 34th Miss Gay America pageant of 2006.On December 9, 2010, Alyssa was stripped of his 2010 Miss Gay America title for having business dealings in conflict with obligations to the Miss Gay America organization. First alternate Coco Montrese replaced Alyssa as the winner of Miss Gay America. In November 2012, Alyssa was among 14 drag queens who would be competing on the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Also performing on the show was pageant friend and rival Coco Montrese. Alyssa was eliminated in episode 9, following a lip sync against Coco Montrese, and finished in 6th place. World of Wonder, the production company behind "RuPaul's Drag Race," has prepared a sizzle reel, "Beyond Belief," for a potential reality series for Logo, centered on Edwards's/Johnson's Mesquite, Texas-based business, Beyond Belief Dance Company. But fear not Alyssa has gone on to her own internet based show, Alyssa Edward's Secret. I had the privilege to see her perform this summer, and I must admit...bitch is good!!!! And there is no denying her incredible beauty.
If your in New York City on Oct 8 you can check out the Haus of Edwards......

It seems the Autumnal Equinox, is upon us, which signals the end of the summer months and the beginning of winter. At this time of year, days have been shortening since the Summer Solstice. But don't push the issue with my houseboys......they'll enjoy every last minute left........
And I just got this new sun dial!
I just hope they dress for the Pope's visit.

Here we are again!! It's Monday. Over the weekend , a friend texted me the above picture of a tree house. Said it reminded him of my pied de terre, which sits practically in the trees. My flat is a second floor walk up, and is surrounded by, and has the privacy of trees. But how cool would these be to live in? Well at least during the summer months. I'm ready! I can't help but wonder if Gorilla from the Congo Republic resides in one of these lovely tree top palaces........
I'm ready to move in!!!!
Meanwhile this Monday, my barista asked a stupid question.
Have a wonderful Monday!
