One of my favorite days of the year. I just love the feeling it has and wished some days, everyday could feel like this. It's been a relaxing day. The Lad and I took the pooches for a lovely walk around the park. We saw several deer, which I had no idea were so close to the mother's house. Could they be Santa escapees? Tonight, I have a surf and turf dinner planned, with the Christmas dinner tomorrow of Roast Beef with Yorkshire pudding. So for today, I'd thought I share some of my favorite pictures from the season from here and Bucks County, that I captured for memories, and some of my favorite Christmas ditties. I warn you, I'm an old soul at heart. Thanks for your friendship and visiting through the year and wish you all a very Happy Christmas. May you be celebrating the way you want.

And as is tradition, probably my favorite song, from Bucks County neighbor and native Christina Perri and her brother, Nick Perri. The most beautiful song.
Happy Christmas Eve!

It is! Your Christmas life - including (and especially) that story of being pulled over/off by a cop in the previous post - is just like something out of a festive rom-com!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Mistress Maddie, and all who sail in you!
P.S. Those narcissus for your mother are beautiful.
I do love Paperwhite Narcissi - they smell gorgeous! It'll soon be the season for Hyacinths as well... Jx
DeleteMerry Christmas to two of my favorite boys! The paper whites do smell heavenly don't they?
DeleteMaddie, because of you and your fellow bloggers, it truly is a wonderful life. The lot of you bring so much joy and laughter to all of us. May your days be merry and bright. Have a very merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI second your sentiment Huntley on Maddie and other bloggers.
DeleteYour both too kind!
DeleteWhat festive pictures. Really captures the essence of the season. And thanks for the tunes, they are some old ones, never heard some of them but the Christmas Bride and Christina Perri's song were downright beautiful listens.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you handsome!
Merry Christmas Mistress!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Christina Perri song cause it's different from all the other Christmas songs. It revolves around the whole December atmosphere, that happy, nostalgic feeling that you get just by walking on the street, as your pictures show beautifully!
Thats said the Silent night was a real treat.
She's a great singer isn't she?
DeleteMerry Christmas, my love. How I do enjoy your beautiful photos. I'm so glad I know you.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Right back at ya!!!
Delete🎄🎄🎄⛄⛄⛄🎅🎅🎅🐂🐐🐐⭐⭐⭐
So beautiful in your neck of the woods! Those Christmas trees in particular are all spectacular!
ReplyDeleteI love me Christmas trees. I'm always drawn to them.
DeleteMerry Christmas Debs!
I particularly love that pic of New Hope Station - lovely! Jx
ReplyDeletePS Heavens, that farmers' market is expensive!
PPS Another glittering, twinkling star has joined the seasonal throng in Fabulon: Grace Mirabella, RIP. I bet her Xmas decorations were stylish...
Those hams were HUGE!!!!!
DeleteMerry Christmas Mistress!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures have warmed my heart. "Something About December", that song is purest form of Christmas memories, I miss my parents and many friends, and that song is correct, remember them at this time ad they warm your heart and memory, because they are never really far. Beautiful song.
🎄🎄⛄⛄💋💋❤❤
DeleteSome of these Christmas version songs are so overlooked, and all so pretty. As always I too just adore the picture. Bucks County is always as pretty but especially at Christmas, and those holiday hams look delicious and better be for that price. You night sounds simply nice and calm. Will you be serving your aunt's eggnog?
ReplyDeleteOne of my VERY favorite holiday songs since childhood, that Kate Smith song. Now that my parents have longed passed, it means even more to me every year! Sing it, Kate! Merry Christmas my dear friend.
The Kate Smith song was always a favorite of my maternal Grandmother. I think she could give Ms.Mermen a run for her money.
DeleteOh a tree of books. I'd be soooo happy.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Eve and Happy Christmas, Maddie!
I shall have it mailed to you!
DeleteMerry, merry Christmas dear Maddie!!!
ReplyDelete⛄⛄⛄⛄⛄⛄⛄⛄⛄⛄
DeleteLove this post for tonight! Im so glad I found your blog this year. It such a fun cornucopia of things, current and of yester year. Love these songs too. Christina Perr's song had me teary eyed and love the Ray Coniff Singers, they are Christmas! And the Kate Smith song, I've never heard, but she's emotionally in tune with each lyric far more than most folks today.
ReplyDeleteMeery Christmas and a wonderful Yuletide season/
Thank you and Merry Christmas.
DeleteHappy Christmas.
ReplyDeleteJP x
Joyous Noel to you JP
DeleteI still miss you so. I hope your well.
Ham and Cheese looks Devine. I didn't know you had connection to Buck county. My 2nd Great Grandpa was from there, he was born in 1776. But I'm sure county lines changed.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a fine Christmas and best in 2022
That is very cool. It's a very old area in which I live. I've been in Bucks County now for 21 years.
DeleteMerry Christmas Dora!
Merry Christmas! I have to admit, until I saw the tombstone, I had no idea you were related to Nissley. Do you get a lot of free wine?
ReplyDeleteThey are on my mother's paternal side yes. Cousins. But we surprisingly don't like the wine...too sweet for us.
DeleteOops did I say that out loud? But some cousins give us too many bottles as gifts. Oh dear.
Merry Christmas! I'm glad you had fun today.
ReplyDeleteI love all the trees!!! Have a Merry Christmas, and a wonderful day!!
ReplyDeleteSXXX
Merry Christmas Scarlet!
DeleteBeautiful pictures, beautiful songs. That first picture is so calm and tranquil.
ReplyDeleteAnd Christina Perri has such a beautiful voice, and heart felt delivery.
Merry Christmas Mistress!!!!🎍🎍🎍
Feliz Navidad
ReplyDelete🎅🎅🎅🎅
DeleteThat train station looks like it could be on a Christmas card.
ReplyDeleteI have used another shot I took last year on a calendar I made last year. I have made a calendar of my 12 favorite pictures from the year...for the following year. I've done it the last four years. And give some out.
DeleteThat tree of books is so me! Lovely pics of lovely places and your Christmas lunch is very Georgian.
ReplyDeleteI can remember one year when Longwood Gardens did a almost 18ft book tree like this. It was phenomenonal
DeleteMerry Christmas
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas David 🐧🐧🐧
DeleteMerry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas JM 🎄🎄🎄
DeleteMerry Christmas, Maddie!
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a heartwarming post. Love the selection of you snap shots and the old music, nothing can compare to them is sound. I love the Salt House, one of my favorites. We should meet for a Christmas bowl.
ReplyDeleteAdore the bookstore tree!
ReplyDeleteAs if we didn't think you weren't already cute enough.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a great Christmas. I cannot picture you with a BB gun.
