Yesterday I went up the road to see my neighbor for fresh eggs and milk, and I dare say bottled milk! When have you seen bottled milk anymore? I took her two loaves of fresh bread I made. Outside I could hear some chirping. She informed me that this years chicks are in, and they have ended up with about over 200! I never saw so many. And if you sat down, they would climb and jump over you. You'll be happy to know I got one for each of you!
Once back, made a white cake , with white icing....with coconut once I had three dozen eggs again. Lumbersexual is coming over for coffee and cake later. Hopefully my cakes.
You are a wonder. When are you sending my chick?
ReplyDeleteWell considering your brother in New York might not have gotten any of my cards, it might be a full grown chicken by time you get it, with the mail here....
DeleteWhat? Only ONE chick??
ReplyDeleteHow about a dozen? Before you know it, you'll have a chicken ranch.
DeleteApparently I DO enjoy staring at chicks after all!

I had chicks all over me yesterday. That was a new experience! lol!
Deleteoooooh, coconut cake! lucky lumbersexual!
ReplyDeleteIf he plays his cards right, he'll get lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteThe chicks are adorable!!
ReplyDeletexoxo :-)
I have never heard such peeping! They were EVERYWHERE!
DeleteOoh, I'll take a black chick and a slice (or seven) of that white, white cake! I love coconut!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your Lumbersexual knows how fortunate he is ;)
Will it be to much, and suggestive you think, if I serve it in only an apron?
DeleteWell, I suppose you could serve the cake in an apron?
DeleteBut what are you going to wear - Or not...?
Good luck with Mr Lumbersexual! Oh, I've got the PERFECT meme for you -- I'll send it by email.
ReplyDeleteI have the cakes, he as the wood!
DeleteI'll have the chick, roasted or fried, but you can keep anything that contains coconut. Even the smell makes me heave. Jx
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed how many people don't like coconut. Cards of the table, I have to be hungry for it to enjoy it though.
DeleteI'll have yours, Jon!
DeleteNothing like fluffies: chicks, cake, and cakes.
ReplyDeleteAnd I like to think all three are light and moist.
DeleteIf he is smart, he'll take your cakes, unless he's blind. No offense to that lovely looking cake though.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Look at that masterpiece! I can almost taste and smell the cake! Can I have a slice?
ReplyDeleteI fear for the chick. My cat will love it.
Looks delish ! My mother was a fab baker/cook, but sadly I didn't get that particular gene. I got the music gene. Now what will I do with a chick? And will it like Center City?
ReplyDeleteMaybe try covering your cakes in white icing and coconut flakes for the lumbersexual???
ReplyDelete3 dozen eggs!!!!!!!! My god, 3 dozen would last me weeks. I love the peeps! I can just see all the scurrying of them.
ReplyDeleteThey don't last long. I use a lot for baking, and eggs for breakfast.
DeleteOh Mistress you are killing me here, now all I can think about is this cake. Your pictures are so gorgeous and cute. I bet it was toasty warm in that barn.
ReplyDeleteAnd Im not against incorporating food into my sexual antics......
DeleteOooooh, it looks 100% perfect! I could eat some of your bread right now.
ReplyDeleteChicks are so cute, until they turn into big angry cocks that chase you around the yard. I've heard.
ReplyDeleteI want that cake, now! Love coconut!
I will see if I can select you a hen when it grows up. I give the cock to Anne Marie.
DeleteCarebear had better keep her knitting needles sharp for protection!
DeleteI have the feeling she can handle a cock.
DeleteFuzzy little peeps, eh? Bet it was a struggle to keep them out of your mouth.
ReplyDeleteAll the little fluff balls on little feet!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat cake looks SO GOOD!!! I've been craving coconut lately. Yumm!
Coconut cake sounds so good right now. Hopefully it put Lumbersexual in the right mood.
ReplyDeleteWell, if I keep tempting him with tasty morsels, it can't be long right? He seemed receptive to eating his slice off my ass.
DeleteYou sound like a lovely neighbors. I find comfort in hens.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
lovely cake! lovely chicks! lovely story !
ReplyDeleteOMG those Chicks are precious! I've been toying with the idea of getting a Chicken or Two, not so much for the Eggs, which would be nice, but becoz they eat Bugs and especially Scorpions, which would be handy. I'm conflicted about it yet, we'll see. I hear they don't take much Care but I don't know I want to be responsible for any more living things, you know? After Miss Priss passed it's the first time ever I haven't had a Fur Baby, so I want to give it some time. Glad you're back.
ReplyDeleteIt fascinates me that they can eat scorpions and not get stung!!! Yikes!
DeleteCoconut cake is my favourite. I shall have to bake one now.....
ReplyDeleteThe chicks are so sweet. I'd love to go in the pen and sit with them
Hope your coffee and cake date went well!
That was a new experince with all those chicks running about and jumping on me. I didn't expect that!
DeleteOne of those pink chicks would be nice, but I am afraid I can't take you up on your kind offer - the shipping costs would be horrendous and the poor little chick would expire long before its due date. Even if the poor mite arrived alive my two monsters would have it as an hors d'oeuvre.
ReplyDeleteOr with our mail service...it might be a full grown chicken by time you get it!
DeleteSoooo cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd that's a ton of cuteness. Love the cake, too. Hopefully the lumbersexual will appreciate your culinary approach.
XOXO
Well, I told him, if you suck a cock before consuming coconut cake, it brings out the taste more. I'm not sure he believed me.
DeleteOMG! I’ve seen how chicks swarm, it’s like the zombie apocalypse! And the cake is beautiful! I’m sure the Lumbersexual loved what you offered for dessert.
ReplyDeleteI had other another dessert in mind. And I think he have have noticed.
DeleteSounds like you had a delightful weekend, hope the Lunbersexual did also, (visions of red plaid for some reasons.)
ReplyDeleteClose. He had on tight black jeans and a blue checked flannel! Purrrrrrrrrrfect.
DeleteI like coconut! But I am late so I imagine it's all gone.
ReplyDeleteSx
I want my chick, baby! Having a chick is something I've never tried.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
