HAPPY MOMENTS #11

Today the weather changed yet again... back to cold and very overcast. A lazy day. And emotional again. I started at very angry again...with news. Then into a calm and melancholic mood. The mood swings are very unusual for me. During this time, I too have learned I could just live on a huge breakfast and skip other meals. I love me a huge breakfast, or somedays, it might be just porridge or toast and fresh fruit. Today was an oink fest for sure and a movie viewing day. I also walked some letters over to the old post office, and thanked the postal lady there for working and bringing some sort of normalcy.. She seemed shocked. She said no one has said that to her yet. I may make some cookies and take to them soon, I think. I have many things on the horizon...so that will help the mood....which brings me to our 11th installment of some of your daily happy moments.

  2. Thanks to everyone for sharing their happiness with you and to you for passing it on! I tell myself every morning, "Don't read the news right now. Don’t!" But, I do. And I crash. I keep telling myself these stories coming from DC and elsewhere can't be true. It's surreal, like an episode of Dr. Who or Game of Thrones... except with really stupid people in charge. But back to all the happy being shared... Madame Redfern's Battenberg is a masterpiece! And then there's The Lad, while we're on the subject of Master Pieces.

  3. I can see why you and the Lad get along together now I believe. He is just so mischievous as you my dear. And I agree with Mitchell, that Battenberg cake is stunning!!!! And Christina's birds are stunning. Cello Josh's cello!!!! This most definitely made me happy on the most dreary day.

  4. I haven't been to Hershey in years! I had forgotten about the light poles there. These all made me happy. Those birds from Christina are amazing, and Jessika..is that a fox!?!?! Welcome sights for a rainy day.

    1. YES! Jessika is a friend of mine who has rescued three fox from death and fur mills. She has a very popular Instagram called Juniper Fox that follows the three fox, Juniper, Fig and Elmwood. She rescues all sorts of animals. We need more like her.

  10. Another much needed post today. We too are in a rainy, dreary day. With the start of the yellow vine flowers of magpie, each grabbed me more and more on the way down. And I haven't seen a Battenberg cake in years!!!
