Can you believe that we have only 33 days left of this year??? Where does the time ago? It's back to work this week, after a nice three-day weekend. After all the family left late Friday, I had scheduled myself a day of pamper Saturday...started with a haircut, then went in for a full body massage, a body wrap, facial, a manicure and pedicure...the works girls!!! Heavens knows, since the pandemic, I haven't been into a day of pamper, since. I was beginning to look like Scarlet O Hara, who was working on the plantation, to keep Tara from foreclosing. Well, she is all gleaming again!!!! Nothing worse than when your men, notice you have the skin and hands of a fieldhand. I'm much far too relaxed going into work today. Wait. I hate Mondays, did I just say that. Enjoy the day kids. Have a coffee, and enjoy the day Later tonight we have the announcement of the winner of the Freaking Green Elf Shorts!!!
Sorry it’s Monday (for you at least); makes no difference to me. I love today’s mood.
ReplyDeleteIf we lived like any of those people or in any of those houses, I doubt Mondays would be problem anymore... Sigh. Jx
ReplyDeleteAs a biblioholic I adore those rooms with books in. Gimme more, gimme more, gimme more.
ReplyDeleteThat was a great Britney Spears impersonation Helen!
DeleteWho she?
DeleteWell thank goodness you didn't get to the place of having to turn curtains into outfits. Can't wait to see who got stuck with ... oops, I mean the lucky winner of the fabulous green elf shorts.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm sure they'll be overjoyed as I was.
DeleteAs for me I won't complain about this Monday, especially since it's now done, for I have been working the whole weekend and am now off for the two days to come. And that's quite valuable considering it's that time of the year when one doesn't want to pull out their hair among crowds running their Christmas errands :-)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I was made aware today we were granted a quite expensive Christmas voucher by the company's work council, to be spent among a plentiful of shops/service providers as per our choosing. And your post about going for a pamper session now taunts me. I have never been to get a massage or anything of the sort. Maybe it's time I indulged myself with taking care of my well being instead of spending too much time chasing the perfect gift for relatives I hardly meet once a year, LoL!
Thank you for the introduction picture: it has everything I like when it comes to the chic putasier side I'd set up in my bedroom if it was large enough to include a curiosity cabinet (which it does, I'm only too lazy to set it up...)
Now go on taking good care of yourself, for I am certain that once again you'll win the prize at being the star atop of the Christmas tree - whom I wish you very well endowed :-p
Cheers!
I try to go once a season to get a pamper session. It does wonders. By time I get home I'm so relaxed all I want to do is sleep. Now if I go to the other place just for a full body massage that's a completely different story. And I leave feeling good and exhausted there but for other reasons!
DeleteTundra Bunny here.... Another great mood board for Mondays! The coffee images reminded me of a documentary I watched recently on TCM entitled, "The Automat". It must have been a wonderful experience to dine in the Automats of the early 20th Century with their stained glass windows, white marble cafe tables, the gleaming food windows and the dolphin head coffee spigots! I didn't know the first Horn & Hardart opened in Philadelphia in 1902 and then opened more restaurants ten years later in New York -- I had always assumed Automats were an NYC thing!
ReplyDeleteTundra I swear to God you have a hidden camera in my house somewhere. Just last Monday night I saw the same documentary on automats.! I have always been obsessed with automats and I've never even been in one. I just think that whole concept seems so cool to me.
DeleteAnd sadly this old lady is so old, that I do remember, and have been in automats, numerous ones in New York and Philly. I was in several with my grandmother, and many times with my parents. Seems odd that they're gone. At the time it seemed like they'd be around forever.
DeleteAmerica's equivalent of the FEBO!!!
DeleteOur fave eating-place in Amsterdam. Jx
Tundra Bunny here again.... While I have many talents, Mistress M, cyber-surveillance is not one of them, LOL! Now I must get back to twisting my handlebar whiskers in an evil manner...
DeleteFEBO IS FABU!!!! I've been.
DeleteThat swirling coffee bubble gif is mesmerizing me!
ReplyDeleteYou have a real talent for putting these mood boards together.
ReplyDeleteGlad you've been preened and pampered. I'm sure you feel wonderful!
Glad Monday's out of the way. Soon be friday! X
Saturday was four long overdue. Between the massage and body wrap I think I was asleep almost by the end of each treatment.
DeleteI agree with a couple of the others this new board is gorgeous. And it shows me you have great taste and appreciation for a home sanctuary. That first picture and its colors are stunning. So glad you took time to go to the spa. I know many people get leery of massages, but man do they do a world of good for the body and soul when you're done.
ReplyDeleteThat blue in the first photo is the same blue as I have in my foyer, and I lovelovelove it!
ReplyDeleteNow that I think back Bob when you shared pictures I think I remember that.
DeleteThe blue in the photo at the top is the perfect shade.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Love the mood board!
ReplyDeleteIt almost put me in a winter/holiday mood. I'm very Grinch-y when it comes to xams but I think you could make me get in the mood. Also, full body massage sounds like heaven.
XOXO
I had forgotten it's Monday. I got up two hours early and worked on my manuscript.
ReplyDeleteNice bold colors, leather ottoman, relaxing board.
ReplyDeleteI AM IN LOVE with the first picture. I just love a room full of all different blues. And the huge ottoman is lovely. I'm jealous of your pamper day. I'm too nervous myself to get a massage, even though they are very beneficial.
ReplyDeleteOh me too! I'd like to do a room in all Blues one day.
DeleteThese room interiors are right along with my style. I see these and get more comfortable with color.
ReplyDeleteThe bookshelf tree is damn creative!!!!!!!
Is it wrong I want to jump in that pile of books?
ReplyDeleteThat picture of Norma Shearer is stunning. She was my all-time favorite actress.
ReplyDeleteCosy mood board - perfect for December and cocooning in the living room. I want all the books.
ReplyDeleteSx
And that's the only reason I like winter - cocooning
DeleteI really like houses full of books
ReplyDeleteIs it really home if there are no books?
DeleteThose women are divine... I caught Lucille... is that... Arlene Dahl swinging?
