Philadelphia and Heaven
What a wonderful weekend. The Mistress feels pretty much back to normal and rested from the previous week. The weather couldn't have been more beautiful and she even got to the city for some debauchery and all the while still felt like heaven! The Boy- Toy was away so the Mistress went to play. Saturday's highlight was two LONG walks with Buster Bolfig Borghese, you know to tire out the lad. And I also made some B-B-Q pork chops and spare ribs for dinner. Buster seemed to like the new park I took him to,complete with walking trails and small pond.
And here's a picture of my mini Iris that are going crazy and in full bloom.
On Sunday Mistress Maddie #1 Fan, who I also worked with at one time, came to visit by train with his friend Evan. They came to finally see Philadelphia and in particular wanted to go see the wonderful Henri Matisse exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was beautiful up there I have to admit, although traffic in and around the museum was a nightmare.I have to say though the Henri Matisse exhibit was very beautiful and featured alot of inspiration he got from the French Rivera. And I have always loved the architecture of the museum itself.
After the museum I took the girls to go see the legendary Giovanni's Room.
Giovanni's Room is one of the last all-gay bookstores and I believe one of the most famous and oldest of all gay bookstores. If you get to Philadelphia you must check it out. I'll have more on Giovanni's Room tomorrow in a special post. After we left Giovanni's Room the Mistress needed to have a cock-a-tail or two. So yes she fell off the wagon again! We went to one of my favorite places Mixto.
On the way to Mixto,I snapped this picture for our Empress Beth! As soon as I saw it I thought of her. It is the firescapes of the gay bed and breakfast, The Alexander Inn! Enjoy Beth!
And then to Mixto!
Mixto is a sharp little joint with plenty of eye candy to go around. They specialize in Cuban, South American, and Venezuelan food. And MOJITIOS! Yum! The food and service is excellent and most of the waiters are HOT papis'. We were all indecisive on food so I say we just order the menu!So we ordered a whole damn table of food, enough for five of us! Not to mention all the Mojitios we had. Pomegranate Mojitios to be exact. And I'm here to tell you they went down like mothers milk! The Mistress was a wee bit unnerved by all the congestion we sat in trying to get out of the museum mind ya! The meal was delicious and a wee bit spicy,so the Mistress needed a Rolaids to ease the indigestion. After two hours there it was time to go with a lit Mistress Maddie #1 Fan to get to the train. It's sad when this bitch has
to get someone to the train. Poor Evan said he didn't know what he was going to do with her when they got to Manhattan. I'm sure he had his hands full! What kind of hostess would I be if my guest weren't lit. Any who, another lovely weekend put to bed and I have to say it was quite relaxing and a bit like heaven!

Sounds like you had one hell of a time!
ReplyDeleteGee whiz. Turn my back and the Mistress gets all around town! ;)
ReplyDeleteOf course they were pomegranate mojitos. I keep telling folks that pomegranate is the new hot flavor for cocktails. Of course, being the trendsetter that I am, I jumped on the pomegranate bandwagon about 3 years ago.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such a fantabulous day!

I so miss Cuban food now that we left Miami, although we did find a Cuban restaurant in Aiken, SC, of all places.
