Madame's Out of the Box

This weekend, coming to the Nevermore Hotel in New Hope, is the fabulous Madame. Do you remember her? She was the puppet with the wise cracking mouth and over the top style. I can't believe how long she has been around. Madame encountered her original handler Wayland Flowers on a bus ride in New York in the mid sixties. Wayland was immediately smitten with Madame's beauty and bawdy humor, and recognized her untapped talent and made the idea of the two of them forming a comedy team. After a years together they really took off appearing in lounges and clubs all over the US to sold out crowds. They went on to star regularly on The Andy Willians Show, Laugh-In, and later replaced Paul Lynde on Hollywood Squares in the center box. Madame eventually got her on show for two years. They were a sold out team for years till Wayland passed away, leaving Madame in a self imposed exile for the last several years. Now Madame has a new and HOT handler Rick Skye, (who could handle my wood any day,) are back on the road tourning. She has even already seen my drag queen diva Lady Bunny!!! In Madame's words" I'm out of the box, my feathers are fluffed, and I'm off to the first stop of my back taxes tour!"

Lady Bunny with Madame and the very handsome Rick Skye!

And here's a clip of Madame's Place with the funny Phyllis Diller!
