MONSOON SEASON....

 ....continues!!! The fabulous Jinkx Monsoon.

After my Friday's post with a few of us hens pecking....it was safe to say the finale of RuPaul's Drag Race was saved from being utterly a bore till the arrival of Jinkx Monsoon to perform her number from her Broadway debut in Chicago as Matron "Mama" Morton. It was safe to say she brought down the house with When Your Good to Mama.

Now THAT is a DRAG QUEEN with powerful Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and TALENT. THAT is how you win an audience. And send a major middle finger to the conservatives of a man playing the role of Matron Mama Morton. Why I haven't seen a queen sing and bring the house down like that since, well. since Jinkx, at the Annual GLAD Media Awards back in 2013.  She sang Ladies in Drag, written by Fred Schneider...a parody of the Ladies who Lunch,

Queen of all Queens. Indeed.
I still have chills from Friday night.

    1. I can remember my friends and other queens saying she wouldn't win season 5....but I had my feeling she'd win. I always adored her...and she was long over due to get some exposure. And it is one of the few bug success stories. Amazing raw talent.

  2. Oh, I LOVED that number!
There are many reasons why she's the Queen of All Queens (naysayers be damned!) and this is one of those. Ru knew what she was doing when she crowned her...

    XOXO

    1. It always amazed me how so many people didn't recognize her talent. And she was bullied by the queens of that season. Buy true artist are often misunderstood. Well....she showed them!!!!!

Oh, it should be so very sweet! I went to see her live with Dela and it was FAB.

  5. So good was she. I can't even remember if RuPaul and the other girls were there!!!!! I swear she is like the Judy Garland of the drag world.

  6. As I said before, this was the best part of the finally; seeing her get the recognition for being such a breakout star, if not the most talented in Drag Race world... and her years of dedication and talent paying off.

The rest of the queens seemed like they didn’t wanna be at the finale. And after that...could you blame them?

  8. After that blow out performance, it was safe to say Ru and the girls lost control of the room. I LOVED IT!!!! Eat that bitches. I feel Jinkx never got the respect she deserved on her seasons from the other queens...then she wins the Queen of all Queens. She is probably the most talented one to come off that show and like Sasha is one of the few really doing things with the win. No offense to Willow Pill, and others, but after their wins, you never heard from them?

For a good four minutes, I thought Ru would throw a curve ball and give the crown to Jinkx as the season 15 winner!!! Now there would be a twist!

  14. As you know Jinx Monsoon is my favorite Queen to ever come off of RuPaul's Drag Race, I was absolutely speechless after I saw saw the finale! I would have loved to seen Chicago with her in it. And how fabulous was her hair? And you know I've always loved ladies in Drag.

  15. To me, that was hands down the best performance that I have ever seen on RuPaul's Drag Race! When that was over I didn't even know what hit me. Jinx never ceases to give a bad performance. I admit I was a little bummed he needs or didn't win but after seeing that I don't think it mattered who won. To tell you the truth I forgot anybody else was there.

    Tundra Bunny here...

Wow, what a great performance! Jinx Monsoon is reminiscent of Ethel Merman -- in a bigger-than-life, Broadway kinda way!

  20. Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! I never ever watch Drag Race so had only vaguely heard of her before, but that is one amazingly talented queen of the the first order. She is most certainly one to watch out for - shove your fucking Mariahs, Arianas, Rihannas and all those other wibbly bitches; that gal should be a world-class star with the right amount of promotion! 1. She and Sasha Velour, and the We're Here crew, and Trixie Mattel, have gone on to be the biggest break outs the show has scene. The talents is all encompassing and they seem to have no limit to their talents.
