SUMMER POSTCARD # 17

Yesterday found me on a almost all day hike in the Bushkill Falls area of the Pocono's. Parts of the forest got pretty dense but it was worth finding two of the eight waterfalls and saw many deer.
The biggest waterfall.
Took a skinny dip too....but pretty cold. Didn't get back till almost dusk.

  1. That is amazing!!!! Sooooo different then being around here. Hard to believe it isn't all that far away. My big ass could never handle all that walking.

  2. WOW!!! I don't blame you one bit wanting to be up there. Beats sitting around here. Love the deer.

  3. That looks fantastic.
The waterfall? Loves it. I think there's nothing like spending time in the wild. Especially during this pandemic. We have been indoors for so long that this looks like paradise. And I agree, that chipmunk is way too cheeky! LOL

    XOXO

    1. If I had to stay indoors all this time, I'd either be dead, or in a very severely deep depression. This is the perfect place to be.

    2. If you check my reply to your comment on my latest missive, you'll find a nifty little workaround for that issue with videos - if you are comfortable using the HTML editor option for posts, of course... Jx

    1. It's truly a good place to be right now Tommy. Your comment also has me wondering if he might be related to the Hess family in the Philly area.

  8. My Grandma taught school in Nazareth & lived in Easton. I've been to Bushkill Falls and even splashed around in the water... which is almost as cold as ice.

Semms mostly working out and a few friends to visit and that's been it. Great pictures. Have I mentioned a move East might be a good idea?????

  19. I love this!!!!!! Since I'm not working right now I've asked two friends if they want to go to the Pocono's for a few days. Would it be alright to contact you?

  20. William and I would love to do the Pocono's like this sometime, but we will have to live vicariously through you as our balance and energy could do this kind of terrain anymore...but it so so neat to see. Do we think those bucks could be gay??? Love that picture. We really do have a very picturesque and varied state of scenery in which to see don't we?? We enjoyed this postcard much. We are getting ready for another month long stay back at Slaughter Beach at another house we rented. Looking forward to getting out of the four walls.
