    Joy to watch.

    I'd never heard of this chappie until a few months ago when the BBC started showing all his progs four or five days a week, and which they are still going through. And there was a documentary on him just a couple of weeks ago. Died at the tragically early age of 53, I noted. His unflustered style and that cordial voice I found infectious. He is himself as fascinating as his painting which he makes look ever so easy. And as for all that heap of hair on top, for a naturally straight-haired man it must have cost him a fortune to keep it looking like that. I know 'cos I had an 'Afro' too for a few years around 1980.
