  5. What always enthralled me when I was little watching these, was how they'd take everyday objects or flowers or the such and make them the characters with life and the objects they used were also living.

  6. Watching these, you can tell Mae West was very popular in that time. There always seemed to be a female part based on her. I enjoyed this one. I bet if I put my hear to the ground, I can hear the Woodland Café?

  7. Yes that happens all the time here at night during spring and summer lol. Now a days people would be worried that children were not mature enough to comprehend that instead of realizing the more culture they are exposed to the better. I'm not sure however I would be letting children watch videos on Mistress Maddie's blog! Hahaha! Just joking... sort of.

  8. Jolly good fun!

The spring bugs around these parts are gadflies which look like very large mosquitoes.

  9. I think it's interesting Disney actually released it through United Artists because he didn't have a studio yet. My have far Disney has come.

  10. Disney really used to churn these out, didn't it?
I think several generations can relate to the anthropomorphing of everything living thanks to Walt.
    That tango was everything!

    XOXO

  11. It's interesting, my interesting to so much early music (and classical music), and sadly racist stereotyping as well, was through these silly symphonies. My parents didn't control our cartoon watching. It got us out of their hair in the morning.
