GRANDE DAME

Scarlet Vaschkyna,( vah-sky-nah) is a South African queen living in London. Scarlet is another of those queens, who when you see her, your gonna remember her. And that makes for a good queen in my opinion. I just adore her style, that beat to hell face, the chic styling of the vintage feel of her wigs...almost like vinatge pin up with a goth feel,  and she is another one of those queens with very thought-out and innovative performances for a up and comer on the scene, she is a queen of conceptual art. Scarlet from a very young age, knew where he wanted to go...and that was to a make-up table and stage to perform. Too me, what I like, she feels as though a comic strip character has come to life! Couldn't you see her as a villainess in Dick Tracey?

  2. Damn. She's literally stunning.
Love her aesthetic! You are right, very, very memorable and talented with make up. I could totally see her doing Eartha Kitt's 'I'm Evil'. LOL
And that documentary looks fantastic! Gosh him walking along the pool in his mom's pumps. Some of us start early, no?

    XOXO

  4. Her make up is absolutely amazing. Does she have someone do it or does she do it herself?
As a twenty something I went to a "Drag show" . It was at a place called Foo Foo Lamarrs. I remember being shy and fascinated at the same time.
I can't remember if it was in Liverpool or Manchester though.

    1. Yes.. he does his own make up and styling.

Foo Foo Lamar!!!!!! She was one of England's most flamboyant queens at one time, and sadly now passed, and his club was in Manchester...your correct. A first time at a drag show can be a nerve racking time in fear of being called out. I can remember seeing fear on faces when on stage, in worry they might be called upon or embarrassed. Well me dear, you certainly made your first drag show a good choice to come out too!!!!!!!

    2. So. Educate me, mistress. Are drag queens referred to as "He" or "she"?

Ooo yes, I was so nervous of being called to the front!

    4. Most queens, when in drag, prefer girl and she." oh girrrl, aren't you stunning honey."

I feel most queens have distinct difference between their male side and their alter ego. But most of my friends still call me Maddie even when not in drag. I almost don't even hear Steven when called upon.

  10. More than "amazing." And what a joy to see him as a child being allowed to express himself. And your description "vintage pin-up with a goth feel" is perfect.
