Dame Courtney's Townhome

Now isn't that a beautiful scene? That should put you in a Christmas mood. The townhouse above belongs to the Capital Street Duo I have talked about before, and are very good friends of the Mistress for years and years, and years. But most of the decorating you see is done by the Dame Courtney, who is one half of the Capital Street Duo. Courtney and the Mistress go back years when we were single, sexy vixens, always looking for the next best dress, and a man for our arm....among others things!!! Now that we are sort of domesticated vixens and ladies of leisure with our boy-toys, we like to take a interest in keeping a well decorated home, planning cock-a-tails parties and doing our dilettante jobs. Courtney is a very talented floral designer and can she ever put together one hell of a dramatic arrangement. And can she decorate! She is a collector of many things, besides boys! I think she is missing her calling and should be doing windows for department stores. Dame Courtney's place for Christmas is like living in a Bergdorf Goodman window. I always enjoy seeing what she does for the holidays, but ex specially Christmas. And she goes all out, and has even won awards for her talents in some of Harrisburg's Candlelight Tours. And her place is like home away from home. They put the Mistress's slightly tipsy vessel up on weekends when she passes out....I mean , when I start to get my beauty rest! Anywho, she sent me photos of the outside of her home over the weekend and I was in awe, so I asked her if I could share her home with all of ya! What a treat. The first picture is of her Victorian living room with her gorgeous tree!

Here is a view from the bar area. As you can see she is fond of collecting Victorian shoes. And yes, that is a small sled hanging from the ceiling.

This picture is of a antique fairy angel she picked up on one of her many trips to the antiques markets.

A close up of the detail of her hours of work on a beautiful mantle display with another fairy angel. I love the mix of mirrors behind and notice the pearls hanging on the clock. I love clocks.

The bar area where Dame Courtney's boy-toy usually mixes the Mistress's poison for the night. I'm not sure what the blue liquid in the apothecary jar is, but I'll try it. And yes, that is a taxidermy peacock, stuffed with arsenic, if I'm correct, which is one of two in there next to the bar. Another thing Courtney and the Mistress have in common.

A antique life size sleigh in the living room filled with I'm guessing all the gifts for the Mistress. I hope there is a fur chubby in one of them!

A beautiful side board decorated for the holiday.

And this isn't really a Christmas theme, but she love herself some funeral collector items such as grave candles, embalming fluid bottles and a funeral parking space sign!

So, I can really appreciate all she does in decorating her home. It takes her weeks till she is finally complete. I'll being seeing her soon as I'll be possibly going to her Christmas soiree for some cock-a-tails and cheer. I can always work another party in there somewhere. Courtney ,just get the bed ready tootes! Tootles.

  2. OH my God, that is stunning! Courtney sure is talented Mistress. It sort of reminds me of when you went to your Grandmothers or great aunts house and you couldn't wait to see all the decorations. You could spend hours looking around and still see new things. I love the fireplace. I'm betting you guys have alot of fun.

Yea, I'd say she does like to colect things! How long does it take her to decorate the whole house? There is a talent there you can tell.

Maddie: I ate at Garrison's tonight and I think I parked right in front of their house. It looked beautiful. I was tempted to knock on the door and ask for a tour but figured they would think I was nuts!! "Courtney" always did like Christmas and those Victorian shoes. Post some more pics of YOUR holiday decorations. No one does it like you!!!!

  11. You are too funny! I do find it hard to believe that you drink too much. A beautiful home though. I'm not much for antiques, but it is still very intresting to see. Does she decorate for every holiday? And I see you both have a thing for cocks! I meant, peacocks!
