Smile and Happy Monday all!!!! Yes, when I have to use personal days before mid-January or lose them...that's always a good thing. I have one of three to use today, so a nice lie in on a Monday is quite a luxury. The Dame and I are off to Longwood Gardens and Conservatory for the day. The weekend flew by...not only did I have visiting cousins in, but the Lad was here as well..a nice dinner out with all was on tap. As usual around this time of year, the sun has been playing hide and seek here...the fog and rain both made appearances in this mild weather, with one brief sun appearance...but Sunday was completely miserable...a good day for the Lad to enjoy my sugarplums before hitting the road and finding me decking the halls of the Casa for the holiday, since it was awful outdoors.
How is the weather in your zip codes?
The mooses are nice, or is it meece?
ReplyDeleteI think those might be reindeer dear.
DeleteYes, those are indeed reindeer.
DeleteThat lemon cranberry loaf looks good. And I hear that tinsel on Christmas trees is making a big comeback this year.
ReplyDeleteThe real vintage tinsel that was actually cut from tin is making a huge comeback. When one sees the real stuff to the plastic kind, you can see a difference. It's pretty, but such a pain to get off a tree.
DeleteWe'll need a special locker for that hat!
ReplyDeleteAnd the cakes look dee-lish!
We have bouts of rain yesterday and now we've got four days of sunshine and very cold temperatures and I am living for it!
I'm enjoying the cooler weather myself.
DeleteYou find the best photos and GIFs... and men. My mouth is watering -- for the cranberry loaf!
ReplyDeleteCranberry loaf my foot.
DeleteI'm not sure which set of macaroons I like better?!?!?!? Those tighty whities certainly make his macaroons look tempting.....
ReplyDeleteHe's WEARING those briefs!!!!
DeleteThe weather here? Ugh. Overnights have been in the low 30s. Yesterday daytime saw a drop in temps and stiff breezes. This morning it's cold and overcast. Makes me want to snuggle under a blanket with a good book and music in the background.
ReplyDeleteMan do I like white briefs on men!!!! Love the photos this week. Have a great time at Longwood. I hear it's gorgeous this year.
ReplyDeleteI think this mood board is glorious!!!!! I love the antler dog and the santa moving picture!!! The kids are coming this year to the house for the holiday...the first year ever at the beach. It is cold here!!! The winds coming off the ocean....are brisk.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I had family come over this weekend. My nieces, my sister-in-law, one fiancé, me and him indoors went out for a Chinese, our last get together before the wedding next week when I'll be flaunting my kilt in the family hunting tartan and my niece's bouquet will have the family tartan ribbons. Blue skies and fluffy clouds sailing over at present.
ReplyDeleteI bet that will be a glorious wedding!!!! And sounds like drenched in family traditions Helen.
DeleteMid 40s at night, but it's still over 70 midday. Lots of sun, too.
ReplyDeleteGray clouds. Less rain.
ReplyDeleteMistress I see two more well-endowed houseboys ! They must be busy doing you... I mean helping you :)
ReplyDeleteI see THE Sophia Loren as your guest, she must know about your numerous houseboys.
Anyways, I'll take the tinseled trees and that feather hat, so 1960's. :-)
The houseboys seem to flow like water here.......
DeleteIt rained here and turned chilly. I love that sideboard with the candles on it and the wreath above. It looks peaceful. This is Freakin' Green Elf Shorts week on my blog, with an intro today. The photo to caption will be available tomorrow morning so be there or be square.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Ill have to stop in and have a look see!!!!!!! I was out yesterday on a day trip!!!!!!
DeleteIt's been in the thirties here all weekend and today.
ReplyDeleteIt's fucking chilly.
And I love La Loren and.. is that Linda Evangelista?
And the briefs!!
XOXO
Cold and dismal where I am. Is Mickey banging out Jingle Bells?
ReplyDeleteI love your Italian mood, both for your travels in Italy and for Sophia Loren here.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't forget the Italian man!
DeleteHere I am!
DeleteOpen wide!
DeleteA dusting of snow here on top of Mt Eagle yesterday morning, that melted off as quick as a quarter note. Then clear and windy the rest of yesterday.
ReplyDeleteNo one does Xmas like you, my dear. BTW - Reading Portrait of a Lady by Henry James and your casa is mentioned numerous times. Kizzes.
ReplyDelete😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
DeleteAnyone would think Christmas is on the way! Speaking of, as I've been good all year, can I open the last package, please?
ReplyDeleteLet me give you some protective eyewear before you open it.
