ReplyDeleteAn inspiring post, once again, filled with your innate taste for lovely things. Thank you for that song which I didn't know of. With quite a twist of The Carpenters sound. Her voice is clear and nuanced , both posed and soothing. She's the living proof that, when talented one can sing in an unadorned way, not having to rely on the tremolos and so-called vocal performances that seem to have become the norm.

ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite Christmas songs. I can't listen to it without crying, but it's just such a great song. If you had loving Christmases/Holidays as a child, this song just pulls at those memories. Christina's voice is magical. This is the only place beside You Tube where I even hear this song.
