MERRY CHRISTMAS
As is tradition here...one of the most perfect, comforting, and beautiful Christmas songs. The song never ceases to move me... from Bucks County native Christina Perri.
To all of us everywhere... A Merry Christmas to us all my dears.
An inspiring post, once again, filled with your innate taste for lovely things. Thank you for that song which I didn't know of. With quite a twist of The Carpenters sound. Her voice is clear and nuanced , both posed and soothing. She's the living proof that, when talented one can sing in an unadorned way, not having to rely on the tremolos and so-called vocal performances that seem to have become the norm. Merry Christmas to you and the people you love, Maddie.
Merry Christmas to you, too! I really enjoyed viewing this post, I hope you have a lovely time! I love this song every year. So pretty I can't keep a dry eye.
Gorgeous song, in my opinion this should be a staple of the usual Christmas songs played on the radio every year...It gives me memories of my mother. Merry Christmas to you Maddie.
Your writing, your jokes, your ideas and sharing, your gathering of photos, your stories and antics and your travels and how it all flows together is such a delight for my eyes. I love it.
Merry Christmas to you too! Beautiful pictures and what nice, simple words. I have thoroughly enjoyed your blog this week...nice distraction from the bleak news.
This is one of my favorite Christmas songs. I can't listen to it without crying, but it's just such a great song. If you had loving Christmases/Holidays as a child, this song just pulls at those memories. Christina's voice is magical. This is the only place beside You Tube where I even hear this song.
A slightly belated (but emphatically sincere) sackful of best wishes to you and yours, M.M. Have a most lovely remainder of these festive days - and an absolutely SOOOOPER (and healthiest of years) in 2024!
I forgot to mention the human tree is a perfect idea. I'm going to do that next year and any time one of the cats gets too close, I'll just kick out or slap out.
Ah, I see from the third picture that you've managed to find Ms Scarlet! It appears that she's trimmed her unruly bush to a seasonal shape and is just awaiting a good be-sparkling!
I seem to recall that it was Louis XV who dressed up as a tree for a ball, along with several of his gentlemen, at least one of whom caught fire and died.
Another beautiful collection of Yuletide images. Hope you had a very Merry Xmas, Mistress Maddie! BTW, I sent you an email a couple of days ago -- not sure if it got through...
Merry Christmas Maddie and may 2024 be a prosperous Year for us all.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Maddie. Or should I call you Red? It's been awhile since we've done our Gotham City Sirens act, hasn't it?
