I hadn't heard this song in an age, not since I slinked across a stage lip-syncing for a drag show I did. I heard it come on a dance and house station coming home last week and couldn't believe it. I think I heard it out twice. Tanya Louise was performer in funk house and dance songs, and for some reason was huge in Italian dance clubs. But her song, thankfully for me was right up the Mistress's style.
Banging track honey, I'm stealing it for the Monster
ReplyDeleteTakes me back to 1994 at an outside club in Italy. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe sound of "happy-house" hennnny!!!! Twirl gurl
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great song. I would have loved to have seen you lip synch to THAT!
ReplyDeleteSeems like ages ago now.
DeleteI'm picturing you slinking ....
ReplyDeleteOhhhh YES!
ReplyDeleteOld school House music is such a joy. I can just imagine you KILLING it with this song!
Dance, girl, DANCE!
XOXO
One of my favorites, and I was always told the lyrics suited something I'd say myself.
DeleteIt's too early here for House or Dance Club music.... [yawn] Where's the coffee???
ReplyDeleteWhat a trip down memory lane for you and your fans!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard this song in ages, and I never knew who did it. Thanks for sharing this with us.
ReplyDeleteFYI I found a Linkedin profile for her. Sounds like she's on the music publishing side now.

DeleteNever heard that particular track before, to my knowledge - but it has a familiar ring to it. Sounds like a number of other tracks in that "Handbag" genre such as Robin S Show Me Love or Urban Cookie Collective The Key, The Secret. Faboo! Jx
ReplyDeleteIt was always able to get my feet moving and my hips grinding.... and oh yes...Robin S! She was huge when I came out the clubs for the first time, she and Rozella
DeleteYou got this old broad moving tonight.
