It is always met with melancholy when the glamping season comes to an end, for me at least. But the Woods Campground only has another 6 weeks left before closing for the season. I could go back one more time, but don't know...it gets very cold at night in the fall. And Im a hot house flower. In these times of the pandemic is has been one of the few places I have gone since I don't venture to far from home, and with no international travel, at least for this bitch. And being an outdoors person , it suits me just fine not to mention all the friendly people and comradery that goes on with such a welcoming atmosphere. I was up after P-town and then again this weekend for my last hurrah of the season. Here are summer postcards I took between the very fun Illumination, and bear weekends. I met a new friend, did another "spin for Tea Dance, got in some hikes and just enjoyed the frivolity of it all. And yes , we do have our own slushy machine on our site. They make me do the most devilish things.

I hate to tell you, Sweetie, but that bear cub looks more like a bear trap.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the splendor of the woods.
ReplyDeleteAll that nature and fun and good times and au naturale, too!
ReplyDeleteAnd everyone has fun as a community. No attitude. No unacceptance. And no judgments.
DeleteOhhh And you just put that pic of your good side there, huh?
ReplyDeleteNo wonder why those boys ran that golf cart on a log. They were absolutely distracted. Love everything here! Would love to go glamping. And falling into that bear trap with pink boots.
XOXO
Dear...Im the one who ran the golf cart up on the log! Too dark and had a nip.
DeleteBear cubs, New friends, and Good sides, Oh Myyyyyy! Great Pics! Don't think I did not notice that Giraffe in the background of "The Gallery." You'll need to smuggle that out for me, along with one or three of those lost bear cubs. (And can you really call a side you use to be bad a good side?)

YES!!!! The perm on that site made that...it's so cool. I don't know my car will fit that. But the bear I will make fit in the car...where there is a will....
DeleteI just love this place.
This place looks so wonderful, I never get tired of it when you post pictures. I wish we had something like that out here where I'm at.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I'm still so surprised I love this. It was my ex who wanted to go, and now all these 12 years later I kept going, and he never went back!!! Of course I haven't tented yet.
DeleteYour new friend is Hawt! You always take the best photos.
ReplyDeleteIt was an enchanting evening.
DeleteI need to find a bunch of new, atypical postcards for The Kid Brother. I don’t think some of these will work.
ReplyDeleteI think you'll only be safe with the floral ones dear.
DeleteI see why you enjoy glamping so much!
ReplyDeleteHaving seen all your sides. I don't think there is a bad said cutie. Love all these captures too. And a slushy machine????? OMG!
ReplyDeleteAccording to your pool daze, the big hand is on the 9! I too love these post and seeing this. Even that tent picture is pretty and look almost comfy.
ReplyDeleteExcellent pictures! If I could get my other half to go, Id be there in a minute. And they are to be commended for welcoming us women there too. Friends of our went and had the best time.
ReplyDeleteYes! Henny! You really captured the campground. Really well.
ReplyDeleteJust what in the hell is that chain on a tree about? Talk about some kink! Love the slushy machine and what's not to like about all the nudeness!!! I miss this place terribly. Next year I hope the pandemic is far from gone for traveling up there. Id have an even better time if you join.
ReplyDeleteOh my lands! Some of these site look ad revival some cottage near me. This all still blows my mind this all takes place in the woods, and the Pocono's of all places. I always say leave it to the gays. And I now see why your readers love your cakes!
ReplyDeleteIt's beyond me why HGTV hasn't hired you yet as a gay lifestyle travel queen! Love the pictures this time...especially that little lake. And always enjoy your buns.
ReplyDeleteYou should be arrested for having so much fun. It blows my mind what many do with their camp sites.
ReplyDeleteHence the glamping part.
have you worn clothes at all this summer?
ReplyDeleteTwice. Do fig leaves count?
DeleteIt looks like you had good weather, good friends, and a good time. I’m glad you were able to get away and relax.
ReplyDeleteYou'd love it there too I suspect.
Deletewhat nice good side you have!
ReplyDeleteThat red hibiscus is absolutely gorgeous! But it also looks like a Triffid looming over and about to devour that poor lost bear cub.
ReplyDeleteIt would only consume the bear cub if I don't get there first. And those guys have the nicest and biggest hibiscus I've seen.
