Well, the Mistress is back, for now, after a few small get-a-away's and some time away from the internet. Many were very surprised that P-Town survived myself, Lady Bunny and Hurricane Eli all in one week. I do believe the hurricane caused less damage. I'm sure Pearly is happy to have her house back. It was great getting away, and we spent most of the time this year, again, mostly at Pearly's new house and Boy Beach most of the time. I may have got lost once and ended up in the dick dock by accident .It being carnival week, it was a busy week, but still not like it usually is in years past. It was also nice to see mask were guideline everywhere, and more places then not needed to see vaccination cards for entry. It was a mostly relaxing time, spent with my buns buried in the sand most days, all day...while Pearly continued with her daily routines with shows and work. Nothing more rejuvenating to me than beach time. The highlight for me , was yet again the whale watch. And this year we got treated to a triple breach. Other then eating way to much, drinking, and sunning... it was a glorious get away. I have featured Ptown so many times before in posts, so I thought I would share some snaps of the beautiful homes there, along with some other town sights.
Suns out, buns out.
This place will be a hint, as to what may be in the winners care package from the parlor game...
Carnival's theme this year was the Wizard of Oz. I sure don't remember the candy munchkin boys being this hot! They were kind enough to let me take their picture for a few free samples.
A view out Pearly's living room window.
The owners of this house got right into the spirit of Oz...complete with a yellow brick road and poppy field.
This bakery was visited by me 5 of my 7 days there. OMG!!!!
No trip to Provincetown is complete without seeing the fabulous Miss Richfield 1981. We caught the shows of Edie, Thirsty Burlington, and the hilariously twisted Dina Martina. It was so nice to be able to see a drag show in person again.
This flag said it all!
And yes, this happened! No Pam Demic...but The Mistress of the House of Borghese, did make an appearance coming out of the sea before a tea dance show.
But the highlight like I said, for me, was the whale watch. It is amazing to see these creatures up close. These videos don't show their shear size, yet so majestic and graceful. One must be on it to get video and pictures, it happens so quick.
I am already to go back again!! Once work calms down, I will be revealing the correct answers for the parlor game from the previous post, and some of you couldn't be tricked by knowing some had two lies as answers. I will get the answers and the winner or winners posted shortly, I didn't expect so many responses, and I'll reveal what the care package is. I also thank you for some of the texts and emails I got yesterday with concern about Hurricane Ida which did hit the Philly area very hard, but mostly with heavy rain fall and 6 tornados touching down. It was nerve racking to say the least. The Casa du Borghese came through, but the grounds are a mess and quite a few houseboys are missing.
I need to go to P-town someday (never been there.) Great whales. I don't have one of your houseboys.
ReplyDeleteYou two haven't?!?!? Im shocked. You two would love it.
DeleteThe Mistress is more beautiful than Madonna romping in the sea. Talk about travelling in style. I have much to learn from you! Thank you for capturing a bit of the community. Those candy boys look good enough to eat. And all your photos... so much fun. Glad you had a lovely time and you saw the Twin Cities own Miss Richfield of 1981! Welcome home, hon. Kizzes.
ReplyDeleteOh I adore Miss Richfield....have seen and met her numerous times. She does her stint every year in Ptown every year from May till September.
DeleteI loved the window filled with glass but the whole town looks lovely. Once travelled up to Fort William by ferry and we were escorted by a pod of killer whales - once seen never forgotten - how lucky you are to see whales enjoying themselves when you visit. Perhaps the houseboys have gone to see the whales rerun their breeches?
ReplyDeleteWelcome back. Great photos. The MG garden was a genius idea.
ReplyDeleteAll the years Ive gone and this is my first time seeing it?!? I don't know how I missed it before.
DeleteSounds like you had an ultra fab time! Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteSo happy you had a great time. Beach time is the best! Better if naked, but hey.... Relieved you didn't sustain any injuries and the Casa withstood the pounding.
ReplyDeleteHow I did get naked a few days...just depended what beach section we went to. Just you wait.
DeleteMyself, Lady Bunny and Hurricane Eli? In one week? And the town is still standing?
ReplyDeleteWell, it's definitely more dried out now.
DeleteWe used to go whale watching off Bodega Head in California. It's amazing seeing such huge beautiful creatures.
ReplyDeleteWe are off to the beach ourselves down near Hilton Head, for the weekend. I need to see the sea again because it's been a while. As usual, your photos are gorgeous and show a fabulous time had by all, especially the Mistress coming out of the surf.
IT'S ABOUT TIME HENNY!! I never thought you'd get back. Never been to Ptown, but me thinks I need to go at least once. And we love seeing beach cake.
ReplyDeleteOh Happy Day! I have MISSED you. And I loved seeing the picture from Provincetown. Haven't been in years since our friends there passed away. I do love the homes there But must say the whale watch would have had me too, must be exciting to see that. Your beach beaches had me from the beginning. So so glad to read that Hurricane Ida didn't claim the Casa and that your safe.
ReplyDeleteI always look forward to the whale watch myself.
DeleteYou're looking awfully svelte there, Mads. You must've been getting some exercise in between the bakery forays. I must say, that is the oddest rack of butt plugs I've ever seen! Kinky, and painful :) Oh, I took a couple or three houseboys home with me. You weren't using them, after all. They come in handy with boxes.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, glad you're safe.
Butt plugs?!?!?! You sure you never been to the Black Party at the Saint??? You holding out on us?
DeleteNo Mads. Sorry to disappoint, but the only Black Party I've ever been to was my prom and a few family gatherings. I do read you know ;)
DeleteLove your sea buoys!
ReplyDeleteAnd welcome back!!! Your pictures are inspiring a beach trip. Amazing.
The Lad calls them floating devices.
DeleteWonderful post! Good to have you back!
ReplyDeleteYou have been missed in all ways! Smooch.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are okay with the weather.
ReplyDeleteAnd looks like a good time was had
at the beach!
xoxo :-)
Great photos, and oh that poor MG. I remember wanting one of those as a kid.
ReplyDeleteI did not borrow one of the houseboys this time. Honest.
I always love those MG's too and wanted one for weekend driving, but that never happened.
DeleteThe houses are fantastic. I’m glad you didn’t disappoint with a picture of your assets. The Lollipop Kids are so cute. And the whales with their synchronized diving would put Tom Daley to shame.
ReplyDeleteGlad to have you safely back! You were missed.
Don't get me started on Tom Daley. I have just the thing for him to synchronize on.
DeleteHappy to know that you are back, safe and sound ,and posting. Sad for you though that you had to leave such a beautiful place as Ptown: thanks a million for the pictures you shared, you sure deserve the honorary title for Best Enthusiastic Promoter of Ptown :))
ReplyDeleteWater Wave Mistress is just like a far more exquisite and tasteful Venus emerging from the foam!
ReplyDeleteProvincetown looks so charming and welcoming but, I must say, I'm always reminded of Amity Island from Jaws when I see your photos. I would ask you to be wary, but I'm sure you just love being snapped up!
P.S. Humpback whales! It's George & Gracie with their offspring (and they're currently featuring at mine too, coincidentally).
I will have to pop in, err over I meant. I'll be grossly behind I surmise or a few days. But nothing like a whale watch, right.
DeleteI hear your like a bloodhound...sniffing out gin and sea men. You had me at the first picture right till the end with the whale watch. Two things I want to do still, a whale watch and a hot air balloon ride. And the Mistress looks hot in and out of drag. Your one of those bitches. Enjoyed this post.
ReplyDeleteI too want to do a hot air balloon ride. But most I know are leary to go up in one. We should make a date of it.
DeleteThose images are sublime... I must say, I expected to see some of your Lost Adventure at the Dick Dock tho'? *winks* Glad to hear Ida didn't reek havoc in your area too badly, also hoping the missing House Boys will be recovered. I'd be terrified of the size of a Whale near my Boat, when we were in Hawaii I was shocked to see how huge Wild Dolphins get and when they got playful near our Boat it damned near capsized it. Fabulous Creatures tho', all of them. You look amazing in and out of Drag my Friend, glad you had such a wonderful vacay.
ReplyDeleteI have missed you Dawn! What amazases me about the whale is just how big they are, and yet seem to be aware of the boats around them, just close enough to put on a stunning show and yet with precision carefulness.
DeleteWelcome back, Mistress Maddie! I really missed your blog and these new photos are wonderful, especially the beaches, flowers and colonial architecture (I luv salt box houses). And is that Venus emerging from the sea without her shell?
ReplyDeleteWhale watching really can take one's breath away -- I've been lucky enough to have seen Beluga whales up close in Hudson's Bay. One surfaced so close to my boat that I reached out and touched it as it swam by! At first, the warmth of its back startled me and then I remembered that it was a mammal too!
That would be so cool to do Tundra. Your one of the lucky ones. I too love slat box houses. It's so quaint there in Ptown...I could live there except for the bitterly cold winter and snow falls.
DeleteTrust you to get "hump" and "back" into an otherwise innocent seaside holiday post. Jx
ReplyDeletePS Like Deedles, my first thought on seeing that pic was "how sweet - hand-painted butt-plugs"...
Jon, one of us needs to be very afraid.
Delete...of splinters, methinks. Jx
Delete*Snort*. Or lead poisoning.
DeleteI didn't want to disappoint Jon! Some of the buoy did look rather suspicious.
DeleteI see it's the lollipop triplets now. I have a friend who went on one of those whale watching tours and all she would say is.,. they are sooooo big.
ReplyDeleteAll true! One of the neatness things to see.
DeleteMy one trip to P-Town was a Sunday afternoon with my parents. We couldn't stay long. Hurricane Bob slammed into New England the next day. Your whale videos are awesome.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool Todd you got to see it. You and AM would have loved seeing those whales. We talked about them at our lunches. I will call you soon for a possible dinner?
DeleteIt amazing what people uses for flower and planter containers. Let see I seen toilet use. Sound like you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Amazing videos. Time for a whale watch! And, oh Provincetown. You know how to capture it all. My cousin was there at the same time. Maybe you hooked up.
ReplyDeleteOoh, what big lollipops.
Talk about your all day suckers!
DeleteWhy Mitchell, did he mention he hooked up with a bendy blonde one night?
DeleteMaddie: Yes, he did... (OK, no he didn’t.)
DeleteSo pretty! I love the MG garden - and the houses look so cute and welcoming.
ReplyDeleteGlad you survived the weather and good to have you back.
Sx
Seems like forever since I was gone Scarlet. I hope you kept everyone in line?
DeleteA pod of orcas shadowed the ferry to Fort William; their black and white uniforms gleaming in the sunlight as they breached - an unforgettable experience.
ReplyDeleteI loved the window full of glass and I've seen plenty of MGs but never one made into a plant pot.
That window captured my attention too in a gift shop while there. I loved it.
DeleteI love it all. The whales, the flowers, the houses, the munchkins😍
ReplyDeleteIs that really you, coming out of the sea? What a stunner!
I've missed you, glad you're back and have had a great time.
Life is so short. Fill it with things like this. Xxx
Too many autocorrect typos in the previous comment. 😂😂
I got you! Yes life is too short as we all have learned this last year and half. While not back to normal, I am trying to have as much fun as possible.
DeleteEverything in your life is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about that, but I do like to have fun, and it's nice to have some fun finally Spo
DeleteWelcome back!!!! Beautiful pictures! I can't wonder if you ran into Belle Noir or any vampires?
ReplyDeleteI do seem to have a few strange bite marks from the Dick Dock.......
DeleteI love that AHS is taking place in Ptown. This season has been pretty cool so far.
DeleteJust wait till all the drags queens start featuring! It was great fun to see some shooting.
DeleteOh, you have me so in the mood to go to Ptown now. Great pictures, I love seeing the homes from the cape. They always look so quaint. And your just the perfect little pocket gay! I could scoop you up! And the beach photos are stunning.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile we're still waiting for the town to get wet again. The bars are dry, between you and Bunny.
ReplyDeleteWOW! It is so beautiful. I bet it felt good to get away. I know we loved our trip. LOVE the Whale watch. But all the beach picture did was make me want to pull down those trunks and eat that ass.
ReplyDeleteDid I say that out loud? opps
You really need to check your mic.
