THAT'S A LIE

Since last weeks...yet again shit show from the dump and his cult...it got me thinking. I have friends from all walks of life and beliefs. I  sent one email to a right friend of mine after some debating last week. A note from a left to right

They said we wanted to disband police departments. We don't. That is lie. We want to weed out racism and unnecessary police brutality and for those who abuse their power to be removed or held accountable.

They said we want to release all prisoners. We don't. That's a lie. We want to weed out racism and ensure the punishments match the crimes and to deprivatize prisions.I personally am for a stronger death penalty though.

They said we wanted to open borders. We don't. That's a lie. We want asylum seekers to be given their chance to seek asylum. We want to help people who are coming from other countries like most of our ancestors did years ago, to have a good and fair chance at life. We want to ensure children aren't separated from parents and caged. But we do want proper avenues to be followed and proper vetting.

They said we want to take away your guns. We don't. That's a lie. We want strict and logical gun laws and control to help prevent mass shootings, and to prevent guns from going into the wrong hands.

They say we want to wage war on Christianity and Christian values. We don't. That's a lie. We want all people to be able to practice and worship their chosen religion and worship freely.

They say we want to get everything for free or handouts are ok. We don't. That's a lie. We want to work hard and make sure that healthcare and education are AFFORDABLE to ALL.

They say we want want a war against traditional marriage. We don't. That's a lie. We want everyone to be able to love who they love freely and be able to marry.

They say we want to destroy or rewrite history. We don't. That's a lie. We want to recognize the good and the ugly...the ugly parts of our past and do everything we can to say " this is not ok" and not honor aggressors. And hopefully learn from these lessons.

They say we want to take away your constitutional rights. We don't. That's a lie. We choose doctors, logic, and science and wear masks and follow guidelines to help prevent the spread of a virus.

They said we hate America. We don't. That's a lie. We just recognise the issues and faults and want us to do better and be better. This is one I don't think many see.

We all need to stop the us vs them.  Our position is one of empathy, compassion and logic. The only truth is yes, we do want the dump gone and removed....and a few of the traitors for instigating violent riots and ignoring the peoples vote. There is lifeless and uselessness on both sides of the aisle. We could still use a major clean up of that swamp...and more fresh individuals and with it attitudes on both sides. One with balls, speak their own mind and have guts...and will serve we the people....not be self serving.

  1. Oh, all those Repugs who aided and encouraged Cheeto's lies and conspiracy theories should lose their posts. They've totally betrayed their oaths. I just read the Dems introduced an article of impeachment against Twitler. But you think the Repugs will join them?
It will forever be 'us' against 'them' if they side with a Nazi, xenophobic, homophobic, corrupt wannabe dictator. There's not bothsiding 'Nazi' in my book.

    2. Ugh. As usual, it'll be expected that the Dems say 'yes' to everything the Repugs say and the Repugs will block everything. I'm mad just thinking about it.
And if Cheeto walks I'm gonna be soooooo pissed off...

      XOXO

  3. It's amazing, ain't it, the bullshit spin they'll put on things. Good arguments, Maddie! Not that many of them will listen. And, that's the saddest part of all.
There needs to be a full-on reckoning in the wake of Wednesday's seditious attack - including those in Congress who supported it by tweet, FB, speeches, interviews, or attending the rally that fomented the attacks on DC and other capitols around the country.

    1. You got that right...we need a full on reckoning. And i don't think we saw the last of it.

    2. Nope. We haven't see n the last of it by a long shot. Now we get the FBI telling us to look forward to armed thugs laying siege to the capitols of all 50 states, plus DC.
Last evening D. Lemon had Rep Nancy Mace - (R) North Carolina as a guest. In the middle of the usual Repug platitudes, she made a comment about one of her "colleagues live tweeting" their undisclosed location! At least I ****think**** that's what she said. I was like, Don! You're really going to let that go? Didn't you hear that? Pick up on it?? I mean WTF.

  4. That is brilliant. And I agree about bashing of both sides. I have many republicans friends who never voted for trump and want him and others gone. We cant alienate them...for they do help and elect democrats across the board. Let's no burn every bridge.

    1. Yes I agree with what you say too. We cant turn of our R allies. If we didn't get some of their votes...trump may have won in my county....and he didn't.

  6. That is excellent Mistress. I think William and I's next big decider for us is how political we stay will depend on if Trump is held responsible and punished. If not we will be scaling way back on support of any politicians. What message does it send that this president did all this evil and walks?????????????

    1. And Mistress do any of your readers have problems commenting or accessing Anne Marie's blog? I finally got on...and then it ate my comment 8 times. I gave up.

    2. No your not. I haven't been able to comment on her blog or certain others. It really bugs me.

  7. Hmm. I agree. Except... a war on Xtianity. I think that has to happen. During the 1950's we were rechristened a Xtian nation... and that is something we were never to be. In fact, we used to have separation of church and state. For the president to be forced to lay his hand on a bible? I mean, come on? Why not an issue of GQ or Lil' Squirters? Who the hell demanded the bible? I would like to see references to religion stricken from our government. This is government for all... not just those of you who believe in sky people and fire demons. We can start by treating churches like the money-making businesses they are... and taxing them the same way we tax everything else. Okay... enough. I'll go sit in my corner now. (I did enjoy your post, though). Sigh. If you see a cocktail waitress, send her over to my corner. Thanks. Kizzes.

    1. You speak truth to power, Uptonking! This trashy adherence to trashy religions is not the business of governments, nor should it ever be - and I speak of a citizen of a country where a church is written into our constitution, with our Monarch at its head (yet the UK is one of the least religious countries in the world).

The USA has nothing similar in its constitution. Article Six actually provides that "no religious test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States". Jx

    2. Your both right personal moral issues like abortion and religion should not have any say in government. It should be a separation of church and state.

    3. The problem is, in my opinion, that religions (which I do not believe in, personally, and which I think are currently believed mythology) should not influence political choices.
Do you think abortion is a sin? do not have an abortion!
Do you think homosexual unions are a sin? do not join with people of the same sex!

But, don't expect others to adapt to your thinking system!

  10. I too agree with many of these points gurl.I agree to a point with the Christianity. I have several friends who are true Christians and aren't that judgmental type. If it wasn't for one of them right now...Id been homeless. But some far right Christians are a pain in the ass.

    1. He agreed on most points with exception to the hand outs and such. I think he thinks democrats enable people to help themselves...and if feels many democrats push away some republicans who do work with us and don't stand with their party all the time. I can't say I disagree....after all...all the Republicans I know with exception to one all voted for Biden and Harris and out democratic governor in his last term. We don't want to burn those bridges. If not for them bucks county might have went for trump .

      How you doin'?

  18. Mostly I agree with you but I do not approve of capital punishment; in fact I disapprove of all killings of people, government approved or not.

As an atheist I cannot feel that the pressure that Christians have on elected leaders and I think all donations to parties in a democracy should cease completely (give each party one chance at a prepaid advert and a flyer to be delivered to every voter (it would save billions of $s, and ALL lobbyists outlawed.

    1. I only tend to agree on certain crimes and how vuglar and violent the death. Or serial killers. Some stay in for so long and come out and say they do it again. No lesson learned. It sometimes surprises me that I can be so dark at times. I've long thought crimes should be punishable by the crime committed. I most certainly agree Helen with you second point. The money these parties spend is gross. Think if all the money went to help the homeless...feed the hungry and education. Funny....people sometimes can't find the money to donate to charity....but boy...when it's an election........

  19. The lies are necessary to make the right hate the left, so trump can try to destroy law and order and stay in the White House.
