Well, Sixpense might have talked me into doing some kind of talk topic ....I wouldn't quite say recap as not to spoil anything...but more like weekly recap observations and tea. We will see. To be honest, I don't even know I wanted to see another group of bitches...but since Im still home in the pandemic and my girl Tina is on...I felt I had to watch....and found it to be actually pretty entertaining for a first episode for the New Year. Speaking of new year and fresh starts, Ru threw a new twist in....The Pork chop..which was actually a genius way to keep the queens socially distanced while filming in the pandemic. Who knew Ru wasn't just a pretty face or to old to still think? The Porkchop is named for the legendary Victoria Porkchop Parker who was the first queen eliminated the first season. Upon entering the workroom....the queens arrive by two's....and are immediately shocked to be sent to the main stage....where they lip synch for their life right away. I actually liked it!!!! Not only does it give more personal time with them, but we can see right quick what their style and performance is like. The Queen who looses is told to sashay away to their dismay....but actually end up in the Porkchop Loading Dock...a room that pays homage to all the first eliminated queens.
The Porkchop Loading Dock got filled with the queens who didn't win their lip synch....along with Mitch McConnell....who also got the chop this week. I could help but notice with exception to La La Ri and Rose' being in the wrong rooms....I think it clearly shows the top half season queens in the workroom, and what will be the bottom half talent on the loading dock. If I stick by my convictions....the queens in the loading dock will be gone in the top half. We shall see. Some other observations.....
Gottmik.....hands down had the best entrance and overall whole look. She is gonna be fun...but I can tell she's from LA. When she hears a joke she gets it three hours later. But LOVE her aesthetic...and I bet she will surprise and delight.
My old old old gal Tina, and what she is about really shone through....she was so typical Tina Burner ....and the bitch brought it. But then again, a camp, snarky and over top drag always gets me.
Kandy Muse came in loud and ready.....and did that bitch serve it right way. The lip synch was fun....and so typical Kandy style who will use anything as a prop. The boom box was perfection. I still think Kandy will do pretty well if she can watch her eating. Kandy is one of those hos who sits reverse cowgirl style on the toilet to have a flat surface to eat.
I found Olivia Lux very sweet...and a smile to light a room...I think she will do well...but girl....that entrance look??? What did she do, tear down some theater stage drapes!!!!
Which brings us to Olivia's lip synch dragtestant....Rose. Rose looked incredible, performed excellent to the song. She will be top four I think. But henny......she reminds me of a russian doll...full of herself.
I think Tamisha Iman was totally robbed of her lip synch.....she tore up the Pleasure Principle....but I still don't see her going far.
Denali, LA LA Ri and Kahmoira who? I didn't get very memorable vibes or looks. I dare think Denali came across boring and dull...even with performing in ice skates. LA LA Ri reminded me of Joan of Arc....great ideas... executed badly.
Utica Queen shocked me. I didn't think I'd like her but she was addictive which surprised me. If Tammie Brown and Crystal Methyd had a baby it would be Utica. Her looks were giving me major vibes of Drag Race Holland...and her quirkiness was contiguous. I think she'll be a mid way queen.
Elliott? Very pretty...but I see a short trip girls. A bit bland. And I think I know what she got on her SAT'S. Ketchup.
MY least favorite queen was Joey J. I just wasn't feeling that whole look. She is what I see in many bad parts of Philly on corners. And if she wanted to do feathers...she should have consulted Roxxxy Andrews henny. Joey's beauty and fashion is listed right on the side of your milk carton under missing. Yeah honey I went there.I surmise she'll be gone first or second from the loading dock. But if he wants to have a late night Kiki in bed....I wouldn't say no.
And from the previews...can we discuss how swanky Michelle looked???? I think I need that wig she had on. What did you think of the first show? Don't hold back bitches.
I haven't seen the first episode yet! My TV is broken at the moment but I could watch it on my computer on one of my streaming services. But I just haven't had time! I'm such a busy gal in the midst of this pandemic.
ReplyDeleteCan't comment because I didn't watch. Maybe when my eye clears up. Another procedure. Oh, boy. (sigh). Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYet when i send you emails...you sure see those well!!!!!!!!!
DeleteBwhahahahahahahaha
I would go see Utica. I adore Tammie Brown - all her old-hollywood realness. Was so disappointed when she was eliminated right away. I wanted to see more of her. But Utica is even more out there and creative. And I know her kind of edge does not play well with Ru, but I find her to be the most intriguing talent. So... of course she'll get the axe right away. :) Kizzes.
ReplyDeleteOh...I actually think she make it to the mid way.....I think she'll make it till the top five girls get set. And i adore Tammie Brown. She sent me a birthday message one year...so out there and funny.
DeleteI also like Utica because, as an oddball, I like the oddballs.
ReplyDeleteOddballs need to stick together.
DeleteIt is obvious that the creme de la creme (no, not Bendalah) of drag talent in the USA (and her territories) has already passed through the workroom, but I will never stop watching RPDR. I'm old. I like a subversive show.
ReplyDeleteI think when you remove yourself from drag it far more enjoyable to watch. I like the show too. Shall we have a marathon one night? Ill bring the cheese twist.
DeleteGlad they are being careful.
ReplyDeletexoxo :-)
Yaaasss! *shablam!*
ReplyDeleteI knew you'd bring that TEA!
Ok, so here's the deal: Everybody keeps talking about Kandy but I find her to be Milky Nutshell Headache 2.0. She irritates me. Bitch kind of put on show there but I find her personality grating. She's NOT all that and a bag of chips. Gottmik? Genius presentation. Very polished. I actually liked LaLa but liked Tamisha's lip synch better. I think Denali needs more props! Bitch was on ice skates. There's a video of her doing 'When I Grow Up' on ice that's killer.
I liked Uttica and Tina. And I like Joey out of drag. I'd KiKi'd in a second.
XOXO
Yep....a small bit of Kandy goes I long way. She wont win....but I think she will do better that Dalhia and Aha. I still think it going to boil down to Gottmik, Symone and Rose.
DeleteYou and I....are way to horny......
How did i miss this? I absolutely loved the twist and think going forward might be fun. Now where's the bowls of milk???? Your claws are sharp today.
ReplyDeleteLol!!!!!! Mitch McConnell in the Porkchop Loading Dock!!!!!! So far...i enjoyed the show....but tall about filler queens. I really like Symone and Tina the best...followed by Gottmik and Uthica.
ReplyDeleteI see the Library is open!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah I thought Tamishas lip synch was better too. She had Janet's moves down. And Gottmik is a whole experience on to herself.
It sometimes takes me three hours to get a joke so I relate to that.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I would have to get DVD for it. I would surprise if our library had something like that. Sandpoint library is lot more open then the one in Bonners Ferry.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
the title gave me a jolt. What a tragedy to spill a cup !
ReplyDeleteAnd I have before too.
DeleteWith exception to Gottmick and Olivia Lux...I think they all look on the cheaper and of drag. Im not feeling this season. Thank goodness the UK season 2 is starting the 14th.
ReplyDeleteI think im in love with Gottmik. She looks so above the rest. There here_ Gottmik. And her creativity is -
ReplyDeleteYep....i still think she will be the winner.
DeleteBeing in Italy, I can't see anything. But I really love Drag Queens and the whole series of colors ranging from yellow to purple!
ReplyDeleteThey are entertaining shows...and the international ones are even more so.
