There's usually something in the day, whether it be morning, noon, or night, that when you see it, it just makes you happy, or it will inspire you to have a good, happy day. And in this climate with what's going on, we could all use some happy. On a walk with Buster the other day, I came across chalk messages that the kids in the neighborhood did. I thought that was pretty darn cool, and it really did make me happy. And kids rarely make me happy.
The last one reads Enjoy your walk.
Pretty cool.
Yesterday I had been emailing back and forth with reader Christina from England, She sent me a beautiful picture of her garden.
I don't know why, but when I saw it with my morning coffee, I was both touched, that she just sent it, and I was very happy looking at it. I had day dreams of her and I sitting there talking over lavender gin cocktails!!! I don't know where these daydreams come from, I can't explain it...it's a gift. But I'm sure her garden makes her very happy, as it should. So in these times it got me to thinking, why not share others pictures from you all of what makes you happy in the day. It can be really anything, and something so simple. I welcome one and all to take a snap and send your submission, or your dominant tops, to mistressborghese@yahoo.com. No need to tell why it makes you happy or inspires, unless you insist!!! I will post them as they come in. It will be a nice way to spread some happy and learn about everybody to help us take our minds off things, if even for a minute of viewing.
I'm all about spreading some happy!!!!!
Those first few pics are kinda low quality, at least for me... But they're nice. Also, love the flowers! Oh girl, so you like 'em dominant tops, huh? Will you reveal if any of them e-mailed you? Naughty, naughty! ^.^
ReplyDeleteYes they are. I don't know why they came out so bad. My phone. Take usually good pictures.
Deletewhat a lovely garden! to have all those pretties in bloom already while our flowers are still struggling...thank you, christina, for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI sent you some pix.
Anne Marie, this was taken last August. There's a few daffodils out but not much else at the moment. I'm glad Madrid shared it with us all. We sure do need some cheer right now!
DeleteThat daydream...you were both naked, right? I mean, lounging amongst such beauty of nature should only be done properly. :-) (Did that make you smile? Hope so!)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful garden and a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThat side walk would have gotten to me too. And Christina, if you were trying to make me happy....it worked! Lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll being sending a submission.
We just need to give kids a moment, we have to understand that they are not people, they're baby people and they are learning to be an adult, patience, patience, patience just like with animals. I never dislike a child, I dislike the stupid parents. Love all the pictures!!! Christina I am sooooo jealous!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous garden!
ReplyDeleteOh , I like this idea. Even online, it's a community of people. I have a good one to get off. Beautiful flowers Christina!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The UK is perfect for gardening.
ReplyDeleteThis will be a nice gesture of friendship. I'll see what I can d to send in.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post and wonderful thoughts...seeing the beauty around us and the expressions of the sidewalk artists is definitely a source of much needed positive energy!
ReplyDeletethat is a beautiful garden! I wonder how many penises we will see?
ReplyDeleteNow who would ever do such a thing?
Delete"send your submission, or your dominant tops" That right there gave me a huge chuckle!!!!!!!! I think this is a wonderful idea! God knows how long this will go now...and you already provide a nice respite from the day Mistress.
ReplyDeleteBravo to Christina! What a garden. I look forward to seeing pictures. Count me in!
Beautiful garden, Christina! Funny thing, just this morning I was trying my hand at Face skyping or Skype timing or whatever. I couldn't figure it out to save my life, so I turned off my phone and went to the bathroom. As I sat there, contemplating life and my ineptness, I got a phone call (landline, may it live forever) from my west coast bestie. She wanted to know if I was going to the doctor. Huh? Turns out, I had somehow sent here a picture of my foot. It's a good thing I was wearing sandals so it was only a half nekkid foot pic. I have absolutely no idea what I did. We laughed. An hour later, Balder Half called and asked why I was sending pictures of my foot. He told me I had only sent it to two people. Still have no idea what button I pushed. That thing is turned back off to use only in emergency situations. All of this to say, you will probably not be getting any pictures from me.
ReplyDeleteFirst off...As I sat there, contemplating life and my ineptness, had me in stiches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And second, there are whole blogs just for feet Deedles! Im sure your feet would give some jollies to someone!
Deleteduchess, send maddie pix via your e-mail address. I did! I'd like to see your puppy and your balder half! I ain't into feet.
DeleteOr hell, her feet for that matter! I love to see your infamous pup!
DeleteBut, but.....I thought these are supposed to be about what makes me happy :)
DeleteIf it's of any matter, I love feet hot mama.
DeleteI love this idea ! I will be sending one in! These pictures above already made me happy today.
ReplyDeleteYou really want to see what makes me happy?!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteFeet?
DeleteMy guess is it a tad higher up...
DeleteLovely garden ....
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, I love it. It's like a homework assignment. Heavens knows I need something to do. I'll be sending in, can we do more than one? Christina's garden made me happy as did the sidewalk sayings.
ReplyDeleteOh you spread the happy alright!!!! That why I love you.
ReplyDeleteYou and I must have the same temperament regarding children.
ReplyDeleteThat garden is awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnd love when children still play outside and do cute children stuff. Too many kids inside glued to some gadget.
God, I sound like my mum.
LOL.
XOXO
I was shocked to come across this. I didn't think kids even knew what sidewalk chalk was anymore. I probably would have fell over if I came across a hop scotch board!!!! But let's not push it.
DeleteOh fun what idea!!!! I will look forward to viewing them...and what a start already!
ReplyDeleteSomething to look forward to. Although with you blog, I never know what's coming next Which make it a daily joy.
ReplyDeleteI love the garden, but those sidewalk pictures are making my eyes moist. I wish there were kids like that where I live.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
ReplyDeleteI haven’t been going out much, but when I went to get the mail this yesterday someone had drawn a chalk heart and wrote “be safe” in it on our sidewalk. Choked me up a little. The little things help us get through tough stuff.
