Aint that the truth!
I'd say- don't let Mondays get us down. Let's get our spirits up and moving again! ~Take a deep breath...Darlings and charge on, full steam ahead. And just in case you find it hard, here are some ways to chase the Monday blues away, with some brown and coffee...lots of coffee...….
It was with great sorrow the weekend ended with the sad news of Mayor Pete's withdrawing from the nomination bid. I haven't been so passionate about a candidate on either side in years till he came along. He was so well spoken and made actual sense, with a good head on his shoulders and to mention a cool level head. I was well on my way to the poor house with campaign donations...but no denying how close he came and just how surprising the ground he broke and how widely accepted he was. It was quite amazing to be here to see it. I DON'T think we saw the last of him by a long shot. I think there is going to be a RE- PETE!!!!! I think it's very sad though, that our candidates have to be millionaire and billionaires, or we have to have our candidates picked for us by foreign countries. It truly was amazing to see how far he got for being relatively unknown and a every day, down to earth person, with common sense, taking us not from the Old Fashioned, but from the Old Testament for Christ sake!!!!!! But now I suspect my other candidate Amy Klobuchar will be next...soooooo, looks like Pappy Biden will be getting my vote if he makes it to PA primaries. In the meantime...I will always treasure and still wear my Pete 2020 shirt I received for all my donations...for it will be a nice piece of history.
Thank you Pete, for making this gay boy believe we may, one day, find acceptance yet.
Oh, Maddie. We seem to be in the same mood. I'm gonna need some of that chocolate. Both the boy and the cake to keep going this week.
ReplyDeleteMayor Pete dropping out has left me sad, too. And I also kept some memorabilia! I have some signs, some stickers and some of his buttons. His run was historic.
Honey, that t-shirt is tight in just the right places!
XOXO
I say a group huge is in order.
DeleteIf Biden becomes president, I have no doubt that Buttigieg will be appointed to some high profile role in his administration.
ReplyDeleteOh, I loved that video. And both of the speeches.
ReplyDeleteNot yet my vote hasn’t been counted
ReplyDeleteI voted for Pete because I liked common sense, I liked someone who actually spoke to me,I liked someone who answered questions.
ReplyDeleteAnd I will vote for him again,if given the chance.
I love a bit of brown, with or without the coffee. Jx
ReplyDeleteWould you care for a dollop of cream with that?
DeleteIt's been tough on me. I donated, I worked the campaign, I was a precinct captain and convinced folks over to him. You haven't see the last of him - not by a long shot. So, yep, until we see the Re-Pete, we'll do what we must to try to kick Cheeto out.
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, as Pete indicated, the down-ballot races are equally important. Toss a few dollars to the senate races in KY, SC, AZ, MN; toss some dollars to the Dem running against Devil Nunes, and the person running against the pedophile in Ohio.
Oops, I mean ME (Maine).
DeleteYour right....any seat at any level we take will help.
DeleteWell I'm Canadian so not my race but still I sighed a sad nooo. Like you said however this was a moment in history and I will cherish it, a day I never thought would happen. I just hope for the world's sake that Biden or Bernie don't die the day before the election. Probably a good move on Pete's part, he can try later on in his life.
ReplyDeleteI loved your pictures, all of them. Especially desserts, oh desserts I do love you so.
You are safe today from the inner drag queen, I tried to get her up, she looked awful, mascara down her face, feathers in her hair and when I said it was Monday, she threw a heel at me and said a very bad word... divas ugh!
Oh I sniped her in the butt right back in the comment yesterday my dear.
DeleteHey, it's FRESH START MONDAY! Put on a smile. Say howdy. Help a friend. Help a stranger. As for me? I'm doing laundry. Frickin' Kumbaya everybody! Heh, it's been a while since I've had a purely manic episode.
ReplyDeleteIt is upsetting. We finally got a chance to look like a normal country again. But the man and the chocolate could must definitely help things.
ReplyDeleteAnd those are button fly jeans no? I love button fly on a guy. The Pete short looks great...im sure he'd like it.
They are button fly!
DeleteThat first gig says it all...but the last one made me feel better.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday Maddie
I was bummed today too. I suspect that after this week Klobuchar and Warren will both drop out....why stay in? And i love the tee shirt...i wished no I'd got one.
ReplyDeleteI took my pete bumper sticker off my inside back window today. so disheartening. but pete and chasten will be back! and now we are down to 4: biden, sanders, warren, bloomberg.
ReplyDeleteI would like to sample those desserts up there. and who has fit tight tiny jahoobies? - YOU DO! yours don't bounce when you walk, like mine and deedles do!
In my case just the balls bounce.
DeleteHe did quite a lot to raise awareness.
ReplyDeleteSad indeed that Pete dropped out...but I have no doubt he’ll be back... young, charismatic, bright as they come....he’s made a great impression he’s potential is only just ready to be tapped!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have often wondered why Sundays don't have a pause button.
ReplyDeleteAh well... an eventful weekend. No work for me. So I now don’t like weekends. Most shops here are closed sundays and I have to share the streets and beaches and restaurants with the masses off from work. Sorry.
ReplyDeletePete brought a fresh air that is sorely in this time. Like you, I don’t believe we’ve seen the last of Pete, Chasten, Truman and Buddy. He has a bright future ahead of him. Though I’m not a coffee fan, I’ll take all of the other offerings you’ve posted. And that shirt and yesterday’s shot make my day. 😉
ReplyDeleteI like to say...chin up, tits out, cock straight......😋😈
