SKELETON DANCE

As we hear the chimes at midnight and bats flutter from a belfry; as a hound howls at the full moon and black cats brawl on the tombstones; Through the gloom, white skeletons pass, Running and leaping in their shrouds! In the film, four human skeletons dance and make music around a spooky graveyard—a modern film example of medieval European "danse macabre" imagery. It is the first entry in the Silly Symphony series, and a Halloween must!

Meanwhile while out at the Raven Halloween Party we saw this on the way from our first stop. Must have been a really long wait for the dinning establishments last night.

  4. Really admire these old cartoons. No computers to help aid in making them, no digital cameras or scanners. All hand drawn on cels and backgrounds.
