RAINY SUSPECT

The Mistress is going to be tied up today with the Capital Street Duo and visiting Boy Wonders, who are coming to visit New Hope today, but with the current rain we will be limited to outdoor touring, at least till the sun breaks, so we may be reduced to being indoors, in pubs, for a few or a lot of stiffeners….tis life. It's been a calm morning around here so far. This little Hedge Sparrow was all by himself this morning taking refuge from the rain....

I was just waiting for my coffee. The lovely Agnes Goldberg De-Woofs sent me this lovely mug this week.
I arrived back from NYC late to find a box. She saw the mug and thought of me enjoying all the critters here. She was hopping there was one that included a fox, but there wasn't, but found this one with a squirrel and thought of my Bouvier. THANK-YOU Agnes for the lovely mug!!!! I love it! It's gifts of thoughtfulness like these one remembers years from now. I will now have a coffee today instead of an expresso.
And to see a truly spectacular bird post head over to the handsome Mr.DeVice's.

  5. Loves the birdy pictures. Abby is worried about the squirrel on the cup (even though the cup is adorable).

  7. That mug looks way too pretty to drink out of! It's gorgeous. Aw, that poor widdle sparrow. He looks cold, wet and lonely or he's just a Peeping Tom pervert. You choose.

  12. Boy, they are much smaller than a house sparrow aren't they. I have several bird I believe to be sparrows but you knows. I love the mug and that little expresso cup too. Both adorable.

    1. They probably are sparrows. There are five different breeds here, and the male and female often have different looks too.

  13. That poor little sparrow looks just like the ones that frequent the gardens here at Chateau DeVice. I think it may be the only bird that we have in common (yours being ever so much more glamourous - Just, don't tell Beaky I said so).

P.S. That mug is delightful! And thanks for the shout out - I've already had at least one very special guest!

  14. Cute little fellow. Do you find many birds in the rain Mistress?
He had rain here yesterday and cooler temps...finally feels like fall.

  15. Oh, Mistress. I read 'tied up' and got all excited. You tease. But yeah, on to the weather. It's insane here in the midwest. The temperature has swung like forty degrees in the last week all the birdies are gone. Fall is here.

    1. Same here...the fall temps have finally set in. Time now for extra thick blankets, mulled cider cashmere sweaters and yes, being tied up if need be.
