Yes yes, I know what your thinking. "Mistress, haven't you had enough summer already?" And my answer is no, no I haven't. Summer is by far my favorite season, while I can find beauty in each season, I just feel more alive in the spring /summer months. This weekend was so beautiful and warm,, and we still have Indian Summer to enjoy yet.... I decided to head to Rehoboth one more time while it was still nice. After such a grueling, hard, long and tiring work week, did I mention I had to work the whole week, I decided I needed to decompress, and the only place to do that is a full day at the spa, which I had no appointment, or a day at the beach. So off I and my personal assistant Buster Bolfig Borghese went, with a packed lunch and drinks and beach stuff. It was well worth the drive. Being off season now the crowds have thinned and the parking is a breeze. It was heaven, and Buster seemed to enjoy the beach.

CARINAGE!
I really like this shot.
After some frolic, flirting and exploring, we had a nice two hour nap...heavenly!
And then the sun started to set, and what a spectacular calm color the sky became.
It sure was a great day, just what the soul needed.
Buster steals the show. Again! Jx
ReplyDeleteHe is also a boy magnet dear.
Deletethe beach looks deserted. and buster sure had fun!
ReplyDeleteThere were plenty of people there on the beach, but I was on the private beach next to poodle beach. Dogs are only allowed on the private part. So we had room to spread and lounge. It was wonderful.
DeleteMistress, you sure got some beautiful pictures! That evening sky is truly amazing...the colors. William and I took our two dogs to the beach once, they were no where near behaved as Buster. Mine didn't even like the sand. He sure does look like he enjoyed it. He is too darn cute.
ReplyDeleteI need to be more like you and be impromptu and just take off. With me everything is planned. Sometimes spur of the moment turns into the best and most relaxing of times. Looks like a great day.
ReplyDeleteSame! Spring and summer are my go-to seasons. I'm too darn tropical for this Midwestern cold. And I'm extra jelly that you got to go to the beach one more time! Doggie is adorbs, btw.
ReplyDeletexoxo
I hear you, I like all the seasons, beauty in each of them, but I so enjoy open windows, hot summer weather, beach, warm starry nights... almost being naked....
DeleteThe beach is more fun without people
ReplyDeleteIt was rather relaxing without the summer crowds.
DeleteAbby and Tar say give Buster slurps and snuffs.
ReplyDeleteThis just looks so calm and peaceful. I miss being able to go to the beach. It's always nice to see Buster. My little Bella has been in the cone of shame for over a week now. She had a lumpectomy and sixteen teeth removed, poor baby. She gets the stitches and cone removed Friday, and we are off camping! Yay! Anyway, lovely pictures :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great time camping honey...but poor Bella.
DeleteI loved the pictures, and Buster looks so cute in them.
ReplyDeleteBuster is quite the beach boy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spot. And your assistant looks like he totally enjoyed himself. Dogs rule!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I love the picture of the ocean from your reclining perspective 😉. Don’t tell Sixpence Notthewiser I said that, though. I’ll totally deny it. 😁
DeleteThat is a rather nice view isn't it?
DeleteBreathtaking.
DeleteLOL oh, bae.
DeleteI was trying to point the way to the waves boys!!!
DeleteBliss!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it while it lasts!
ReplyDeleteWell, I do declare, that's what this body and soul needs, too. I should've liked to gone along. Though, I dare say, I would've dared to go bare - at least for a short while; just so see if anyone complained. :-)
ReplyDeleteHugs!
I know I wouldn't have complained.....
DeleteThere's no such thing as too much summer. Enjoy it while you can. Even though it's officially autumn, the weather here in TN still feels like summer.
ReplyDeleteThis post made me so happy today. Buster looks like he thoroughly enjoyed the beach. And he made the sand.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of a wonderful day, and what better company could one ask for!
ReplyDeleteI like that ripples in the sand/mini-dunes shot, too.
I had the feeling you might like that one too.
DeleteYep...you certainly are a child of summer. Great pictures, but Im ready for autumn now.
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are amazing. The colors so rich, and Buster looks like he was born to be a beach baby.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like total heaven to me. Including that nice bulge. And what's to not like about Buster? I bet he worked it.
ReplyDeleteI can almost hear the waves.
ReplyDeleteI love Buster looks like he really enjoyed the beach. He is so darn cute. My dog is scared to death of the waste. Beautiful ocean pictures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post! So bright and sunny. I love autumn, but summer is my favorite too. Love the sleeping Buster pocture.
ReplyDeleteLoving this adventure tale :)
ReplyDeleteAwww...Buster!
ReplyDeleteSx
I can almost hear the waves crashing, and how great it wasn't really packed anymore. I also love seeing the big beach bulge! Let that thing out! But Buster stole this post.
