are made for......
A good lie in, in bed Saturday and finish reading Pageboy.
Made a HUGE stockpot of Summer Chicken Corn soup...corn from Oak Grove Farms...herbs from my own herb pots! And yes, it was delish! I will also give out 20 jars to friends and neighbors.
Spent last night with several friends in downtown York at Hamir's for an Indian dinner, then off to have cocktails at the Yorktowne Hotel. We started at the sidewalk bar and then ended up on their Grantham Rooftop Lounge. The hotel looked spectacular since it's renovation. Hadn't been in the place in over 25 years.
On tap today was time at my friend's pool and a salmon cook out cooked by yours truly.
And puppy love and side eye.
Can't believe Buster will be 17 in November.
All told, it's been a lovely weekend.
You've been a busy guy! Buster looks fab for 17!
ReplyDeleteIt just wouldn't be a typical Maddie weekend without a cock-a-tail!
ReplyDeleteClink, clink, sweetie... Jx
Dear, if I didn't have a weekend cocktail, we might get a blizzard in August.
DeleteBuster does look like a good puppy dog.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on, and stay safe.
Looks fun. Take care with Buster, he's elderly and deserves to be spoiled.
ReplyDeleteI think being spoiled is what got him to 16 so far, lmao!!!!!! The vet says he's in excellent health so far.
DeleteEverything in your life is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI feel at peace right now Spo.
DeleteThat soup looks amazing!!!!!! As do those legs.
ReplyDeleteAnd I just want to give Buster's nose a pet.
Buster looks great, and so do the rest of the pictures. I lied around the casa myself but I didn't have a choice in the matter. I'll spill the tea sometime tomorrow night.
ReplyDeleteWonderful weekend moments Mistress. Buster is too cute, and that salmon looks downright delicious.
ReplyDeleteLook at those gams!!!!! I love me a good long lie in on the weekends.
ReplyDeleteAnd the soup looks so good, is it a hard soup to prepare? And I can practically smell the grilling salmon.
Saturday is always my day if I'm home for a good lie in.
DeleteLove the pictures, but do you know how disappointing it is you had on a swim suit???
ReplyDeleteThat stock pot is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Buster's look! I too have been wanting to read Page Boy...did you enjoy it?
ReplyDeleteDamn you! You know your legs get us going! What's not to love about a guy who can cook and has sexy legs? Buster is like his Mistress...ages well!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks wonderful. I'd love a bowl of your soup.
ReplyDeleteI'm having a really hard time. My dear sweet Lottie passed to rainbow bridge a few days ago. She was diagnosed with Leukaemia. It was less than three weeks from beginning to end. She was the sweetest dog ever. They just don't live long enough, do they? She was almost 13.
Buster looks great and very handsome. X
Oh I'm so sorry to hear about Lottie Christina. We were only just there four months ago when our poor little Lily died. And she was pretty almost near a darn perfect dog. This comes at a Timely manner when just last evening we finally buried her ashes in the garden and had a memorial of sorts. My thoughts are with you.
DeleteIt looks like a lovely weekend. What did you think of PageBoy? I've heard mixed reviews of it.
ReplyDeleteOverall I thought it was a pretty good read.Required reading for anyone who calls themselves part of the community or Ally ally, and for all others who are ready to open minds to listen and understand the trans experience. This book contains some dark chapters, peppered with occasional tongue in cheek humour as we’re taken to and fro over a selection of memories
DeleteI will say some chapters did drag.
Everything about the weekend looks lovely. Thanks for the reminder to get PageBoy.
ReplyDeleteI think you'd probably like it. You can see what I thought of the book above you to Mr Peenee.
DeleteEveryday should be like that.
ReplyDeleteLate to the ball yet again - internet causing grief for past 10 days.
