First thing I did was dip my toes in sand upon arrival.
Another impromptu weekend with the clan on Fire Island. It was glorious. Spent some time in Sailors Haven for some walks and sunbathing, followed by a small dinner for 12 last night with a spectacular sunset! The Lad, in the Back the Barbie crop top and MM#1fAN said I should start a Boys of the Boardwalk series next season. When the above group heard I had a blog they wanted their picture taken. Thanks cuties! I'll be departing soon on a ferry, I mean on THE ferry after a libation or two... to return to, gulp, reality. Hopefully I can get in some blog reading on the train. Ain't summer grand?!?!
Beautiful photos and LOVE the tune!
ReplyDeleteNice wildlife pictures! The animals are cute, too.
ReplyDeleteThe lad will be happy and tickled to know he's considered wildlife!! He may come pinch your cheeks.
DeleteIt's always nice to see the faces of the people who feature prominently in your life. He has a gorgeous one. Yes, I'm looking at his face, uh huh, yep, mmmm. I'm gonna leave the coming and cheek pinching to you young whippersnappers. I haven't been able to snap since I lost my whip years ago.
DeleteBeautiful pics. But WHY are those boys wearing suits in a private pool? It’s insanity, I tell you!
ReplyDeleteWhen it's just our clan we usually tend to get naked .. but there were three guys there from up the walk that we didn't really know. But fear not, within 2 hours they were all three naked!
DeleteSo much naturale
ReplyDeleteAnd I didn't even use a lot of the naturale pictures that I could have!!!!! There were some sights!
DeleteLove the pictures! That's probably the prettiest seagull I've very seen! The song though, gotta be the most boring techno I've ever heard. Literally just six words and the same beat the whole time, but I get why you shared it, it's like a musical GIF of "Take it off."
ReplyDeleteWhile the song is not lyrically the best, I can't lie that beat still gets my ass going. But yes when I heard the words that song the six words did seem appropriate for the weekend -true. And I thought the same thing that it was one of the prettiest seagulls I've ever seen. I must pop around and see what your topic was for your nature blog this month.. usually I get lax and then it's too late for me to send in the deadlines cuz I'm not home!!!! I've been terrible lately Muriel!
DeleteYes, this is what summer should be like.
ReplyDeleteI can't complain, I wanted to have my big summer trip but that won't happen until after Summer's over. We got a better flight and prices after the holiday, but it's still been a very lovely summer so far.
DeleteOh my God that song is amazing! And what's there to say about these pictures. I've got to get the Fire Island sometime in summer. Every time I go to p-town it's just too crowded and I can't quite enjoy myself as much. I should really do p-town offseason.
ReplyDeleteAnd soon summer will come to an end. Enjoy it while you still can!
ReplyDeleteOh and you know I will.
DeleteSO THAT'S the Lad?!?!?! My word ...now I understand why your smitten. He's a cutie girl! I have been to Fire Island once...nowhere else like it!!! It needs to be experienced once!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd you know I love that song right...right there on the pulse you are. I of course loved Aatig sunglasses.
Next summer, I'm hanging out with you the whole season!!!! Beautiful pictures! I 'd say the perfect song for your weekend.
ReplyDeleteCome ahead Tim you can be my sidekick. And I promise I would try not to corrupt you. Too much.
DeleteI love all the boardwalks and the young bucks that tread them (the deer are beautiful, too)!
ReplyDeleteNow, if you'll excuse me, I need to cool off in the pool with that cutie...
Great “wild”life photos. But the boys didn't take it off.
ReplyDeleteOh don't worry Mitchell, once those three boys were relaxed around us enough their suits were off too. People don't say dress too long on Fire Island.
DeleteWOW. What a fantasy location for some time away! Gorgeous. How can you bear to come back home?! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't Jennifer. It doesn't matter what beach I'm at I hate leaving a beach location, I moved slows molasses and it's like pulling teeth to get me to actually get in a car or on a boat to leave. It's terrible. I really think when I retire I should be near a beach.
DeleteI hope you did things I wouldn't do.
ReplyDeleteWell, your summer is grand!! Ours, not so much. Yes, of course I am jealous!!!
ReplyDeleteSx
In the beginning I was a little worried. Seems like every week and weekend we were getting rain for a while but then in mid June it just got nice. You can come hang out anytime Scarlett.
DeleteWow! Who hosted the fancy dinner? That must've been spectacular!
ReplyDeleteMy friend Preston that invited me, the hosts are friends of his. They're very good host and very welcoming. It was a fun dinner!
DeleteCool AND hot!
ReplyDeleteI do miss the sea, but that's not a bad thing on this island at the moment where rivers and sea is polluted with shit courtesy of the water companies placing profit over clean water
ReplyDeleteThese big companies and environmental companies are going to be the ruin of this whole planet and Society.
DeleteEnjoying the last remnants of Summer, you sure did in Style my Friend. I envy you having your Toes in the Sand, almost no better feeling than being on a Beach IMO.
ReplyDeleteI may add, you have sexy feet.
