  2. Next to Lily Tomlin, she was my fave. No one else ever embraced whacky the way she did.

  17. I'm surprised this guy stayed around long enough to make 32 kids, LOL! Lily Tomlin's phone operator character was a hoot too!

  18. Such a shame there is no footage out there of her as "Mama Rose" in Gypsy (which she did on stage in the 80s) - I'd love to see that!

We did have at least one series of Laugh-In over here in the UK when I was a small child, and I remember we loved it, but I'm not sure how long it went on for. It was the first place anyone ever got to hear Tiny Tim's Tiptoe Through The Tulips, however, and that left a lasting impression! I also remember the catchphrases "Sock-it-to-me", "Here come da judge!", "The Fickle Finger of Fate" and "Verrrry Interesting..." were extremely popular in the school playground. Jx

She has a prettier singing voice than I knew about. The clips I have seen of her in the past are so funny and this went to a place in the song I wasn't anticipating and it was really funny!

    1. Same here Gabriel. I thought it was going to be a pretty ballad, and her voice shocked me too... and then she put her Worley touch on it and I was howling.

  22. I miss this kind of wacky Humor, it uplifts the Spirit and she did it fabulously, didn't she? I wish they would run some of the old Laugh-In skits, we need it right now with how tense the whole World is.
