STOP THE CAR

Here I go again... on all of Congress.  Here's what I find odd. $15 hourly wage? No. Public option? No. Canceling student debit? No. Better Gun Control? No. Better and affordable healthcare? No. Cheaper meds? No. Voting Rights Reform? No. All derailed because the GQP are just assholes and miserable, and by Democrats who hold mostly a majority in both houses. Yet they can't get anything done bipartisan because of both sides getting so extremely left or right anymore, it's either our way or the highway. But yet a rush to approve and fund sanctions/war with Russia after little debate??? And with bipartisan support. Our government is thumbing its nose at the majority of voters who want this country built back better during a pandemic instead of paying a fortune to go into yet another war with nuclear power. War is an evil agenda of both parties, and even AOC was out banging the war drums in a recent interview. Rather shocking since she was all about going up against the establishment. What a find most interesting is how they can get the money so quick all of a sudden for a war, but when it comes to the issues above, no funds can be found to use. War is a dirty game that benefits elites only.

And while I'm at it , to another corrupt bunch... CEOs. You can't both, A- brag to shareholders about record profits and a banner year and then B- tell workers you can't afford better wages and working conditions. Maybe that once worked. It doesn't anymore.

  3. I agree to Mistress Maddie. Im so frustrated as anyone and it's a shame the dems are derailed by a few members, "Democrats" who are anything but and are giving a false majority in the Senate. I still Like Joe, quite as sold as I once was. But still better then, who else is there?

    1. Schumer propelled Sinema huge by trumpeting that she would be the 1st bisexual Congress member (what good has that done?) and the Dem party stuck behind Manchin instead of his progressive WV challenger, Paula Jean Swearingen. While other parts are splintering. Not good.

  5. The only thing this country can agree on is warfare. I firmly believe both sides of the aisle could care less about what happens to the common Citizens...otherwise we would see change. But the further left and right fanatic each side gets nothing will ever get done, because both sides are so fucking stubborn to give an inch and work together on anything. In each election during primaries and going forward I voting for all new people from the top down to local.

    1. I may be right behind you going forward. To me, you'd think you'd want a country full of happy citizens. But much like working for big corporations and retailers, whats the benefits of loving this country if many have to work 3 jobs, can't afford even a modest apartment in a city, and have to decide on meds or groceries??? Even Kamala Harris said many work three jobs and still can't afford to live. That's not living. I've never seen it so bad.

  6. I agree and what angers me it's a disgrace that anyone in the democratic party would hold up any of the items you listed, and campaigned on many of them, yet rush to create more death and destruction. The outside issues have to stop till things on this soil are fixed first.

  8. Totally agree. It saddens me to see many around me struggling and they are working there assess off. But yet everything is going up, (and mostly likely won't come down) yet wages stay down. We need a national strike to shut this shit down. This country is becoming very tiring.

I support all those things you mention, but in 2022 all Republicans, and certain key Democrats, characterize all those issues as "extreme Left". What's called the "middle-of-the-road" is really just a milder form of conservatism.

    1. And it's sad. If we can never meet in the middle I don't know how either party will ever get anything done or passed. And both parties will just keep rolling backs things from each administration. What a mess.

  11. Dear Mistress,

I am afraid I have to disagree with you over the issue of Ukraine. We should not stand by as dictatorships such as Russia (with invasions of Ukraine & Chechnya to its credit) or China (ditto Tibet) takeover countries on their borders. The more you give way to dictators the more likely they are to oppress their own peoples and those they have conquered. You can give way and give way until the whole of Eurasia is under Russian/Chinese control and by then it will be too late. The Russians will have European technology and slave workers and China already has the the Uighurs in concentration camps. China will take Taiwan and go on from there. To do appease Putrid will result in World War III and the outcome may not be as fortuitous as in 1945.

As to big business, I totally agree. CEO salaries are obscene and in comparison to workers wages are indefensible. The US does need an infrastructure rebuild (and so do we); the broken bridge is yet another warning.

    1. I see your point to Helen. While I don't always agree with war, and don't think Putrid should be appeased...actually just take him out I say once and for all, and we need to help our friends, I find it odd that our country can get funding so quickly in a snap for wars, and so easily bipartisan, and not things that should be everyday basic living conditions and common-sense laws like gun control. It puzzles me.

  12. Yeah this is some crazy shit. I thing the GQP is all about keeping their electorate ignorant and sick. Which, in the long run, will be their demise. Unfortunately it’ll be a LONG time.

And these fucking CEOs are a bunch of cow pies.

  13. GAY-men, sister. Keep on preachin' cuz those in the back ain't listenin'. You are not alone in your frustration. No one wants war, but the gall of Putin. What a putz. I want to read his obit so badly. Manchin and Sinema have been the fly in the ointment... they talk about being responsible. Bull. They are status quo keepers bent on trying to keep things the way the were for those people who want to go back to 1952. The GOP are nothing but cowards and Nazis, talking out of the sides of their necks so much they wheeze like a pump organ. And CEOs. How dare they. And the media is complicit in keeping it all in check because they refuse to actually do their jobs and report all this. Instead, they play 'gotcha' games and blame Biden for the failure. F 'em. They didn't do their job when the orange ogre was destroying this country and they aren't doing it now. Your anger is righteous. VOTE. EVERYBODY cast a damn vote! Destroy the GOP once and for all. - Thanks for writing this. Kizzes.

    1. Thank you Upton. I think we need to start sending a message to these elected officials who run on campaign promises. I know they can't do it all in a term, but they need to do the job by those they work for and give the citizens what we need. I worry this country is going to end up just elite rich and extreme poor, and no democracy.

  14. I agree, but not surprised and still thoroughly disappointed. I see you point with war. We need it, but funding can be found so much faster all of sudden and they can work together. But on other issues??? We can't seem to even end warfare on our own turf.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Man-chin and Sin-enema need to go, like yesterday. The dems should find other candidates and primary them and get them out. But I too find it odd how quickly they can work together and find money too for wars and can't on other issues. They are all a pain.

  16. Fuck yes!

A former employer's CEO sold company stock for a likely seven figure gain while I was losing my job. I did not enjoy seeing that reported online.

I also do not like how the GOP in certain states is putting a lot more effort into banning books and allowing safe haven for lynchings than doing things to make this country better.

The Dems in California pulled the CalCare bill before it could be voted on, so we're not getting universal health care in California. Fuck them all!

    1. Much like me toots. When Macy's Inc who owns Bloomies got rid of us all, 5700 people on the Bloomies side alone, Jeff Gennette gave himself and other high ups, anywhere from a 1.5 million to 500,000 bonus. Which is why I did not take a job when they offered it to me again. Fuck that greedy shit, And I won't shop either place again. That is just beyond gluttoness appaulling greed in a time of the pandemic, where sales were in the toilet, and store locations were down double digits.

  20. Ever since Americans FINALLY pulled out of Afghanistan, I had hopes that we'd focus on fixing and getting done any of the issues you mention and try not to get into yet another war, eyt I understand why with this one. I don't even have hope for change anymore. This country feels as though it's just circling the drain.

I can agree on part of this with respect. Your right. You can blame the GOP for that. But by not wanting war I'd feel I'd be siding with Russia. We need to stop siding with Russia.

    Replies
    1. I'm not siding with Russia by any means, I feel as though Im siding with what this county needs. I understand we should go to war to help our global friends, and we should, but I think there has to be a way financially to do that and still allocate money for these items I listed above. We can't ignore everything for a war. But what I'm prissy about is that the only time the two parties get anything done quickly is when it comes to war. These far right and far leftist not working together is getting odd.

The public are just pawns within power struggles.
