Latrice Royale is another of my favorite and highly recommended queens to entertain, so I was very tickled to see her lip snych to this song. "Four Women", originally written and released by Nina Simone, depicts the struggle of the African American Woman. This is a performance tribute, to the powerful women, who have changed history through their fight for "Racial and Social" justice. This piece is intended to celebrate those who were in the fight long before us, and to educate the masses on who these women were.
Wow! Latrice Royale is some big talent! I got so enrapt in the song that I forgot it was the same person doing all of the women. This made me tear up a bit. I couldn't understand a lot of the words but the feeling was there and it pushed me over the edge. I've become quite familiar with the edge lately, but we won't go there. Thanks for sharing, Mads.
ReplyDeleteWOW IS RIGHT! I had chills watching that... was totally enraptured in it.
ReplyDeleteLatrice BROUGHT that.
I hadn't seen this yet. Latrice WAS AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteLoved that the role models were included too.
Latrice is fantastic. Her lip syncs in RODR were epic.
ReplyDeleteAnd this video...whoa. All the feels.

Watching this gave me Goose bumps. Pure Excellence...Powerful! The Bold and The Beautiful, Latrice Royale brought that magnificent routine.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the above comments.
ReplyDeleteBRAVO LATRICE!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this Mistress. Latrice's performances always make me feel so joyous. She certainly captivates, and is always relevant.
ReplyDeleteAlways thought Latrice was a class act. Not sure if playing mother was a role she had already chosen or one thrust upon her by those at RPDG, but I do believe she is one queen who has always had her heart in the right place and her head on straight. P.S. LOVE the new vintage Barbie header. Iconic. Like, you, my dear.
ReplyDeleteI have always loved this song. So powerful. Latrice Royale (all four of her) does an exceptional job.
ReplyDeleteVery cool performance from a talented queen.
ReplyDeleteNice to see Michelle Obama included!!!
