FOX & FLIP CUP

I really can't complain about the weather this week. It's been glorious... and good sleeping at night too. I could still take some more heat thought. I like it HOT. During this time, lately I have been sitting for what seems ages outside, or dare saying living outside, this week in the afternoons and very late at nights. Doing so, I have gotten to see Vixen and more of her pups. They are surprisingly getting very close to me, as in distance, which you know I am loving. In years past she, or her pups never get this close. You have no idea how this made my whole week. I got these today and I video which I have to download yet. The first picture may be the tod. They tend to stay close to the family.
My chair only about 6 feet, but I did zoom in. I could have melted.
Later I went to see my friend JT, who's off right now, since his tattoo and piercing salon is closed.   It's nice to see people since I can go days without seeing anyone, and I won't go out if I know there will be a group to large. I'm only doing three to four people at a time and no more. We enjoyed some tapas dishes, and then JT and his nephew played a rousing game of flip cup...with water.
Yours truly was sitting, judging the game with a gin and tonic from my thermos.
It was a good day. I think I may take a snooze now.

  7. The foxes are adorable. Makes me think of Tallulah Bankhead and Bette Davis... you tell me why, sugar. And you like the heat! You and me, poolside at an all-adult, all-inclusive in Cancun. Day drinking and lathering on the 90 proof sunscreen. Now, tell me that is not a plan! What's this about: "I'm only doing three to four people at a time and no more."??? Damn, girl... you got skills!

  9. Ohhhh my goodness they are so cute!!!! I swear, you have a way with animals. They are drawn to you I swear. Your braver than I. I would be afraid they'd bite me.

Sounds like you had a very nice day.

    1. I don't worry about them, I don't think they'd bite unless you were harming their pups. They are very skittish. I would love them to trust me enough to let me touch them one year.

  10. I love foxes! Those are too cool to see. We on the west side have more coyote. And they aren't as polite as foxes. And JT??? He looks very yummy and I dare say bad boy?

  13. OMG the Vixen and the pups are adorable!
I've only seen a fox around here once during winter. JT looks kinda hunky, Maddie... bet he's married to a Betty Paige type.
The days are getting longer. Yesterday we had light after well past 8:30 pm.

    XOXO

    1. He's not married, and is Bi. But he did date a guy and a lady once, and they both did resemble Betty Paige! LOL! Funny thing is, he prefers pretty boys when he dates, but alternative looking women to date???

I love my vixen and her pups.

  15. I love your visits with the critters.

We are also staying close to home, or visiting in small small groups every so often.

We did have some friends in for dinner and pulled the dining table into the loving room and get the extra leaves out to make it seat twelve, and then put four chairs around for a Socially Distant Dinner.
Fun, but it was a bitch moving that table back and foirth!

  16. Those kids are adorable! Yes, they are curious when that young and Vixen seems to know they are not in danger getting that close to you.
One person (besides in-laws) we've had visit. That has been the extent of my socializing. With the CV-19 heating up again it appears it may be a lot longer without in-person visits.

    1. Thanks for stopping in Paul!!!! I think you right about the fox. I sit outside very late at night in the beginning of the season, which is where I usually encounter them first, and we get to see each other. Over time, if their like dogs, they may remember my scent, so when day comes, they remember me. It's quieter here now so they have been making more day appapearaces.

I have seen three friends, and my mother separately since this began in my 80 days I've home....and did last week go to a protest march in Philly, but hung way back with a mask, off to the sidelines, as not to get in the crowd. I too think this is going to heat up again...and be worst.

  17. You have me melting with the foxes!!! I don't know we have them or not. We're usually in bed after midnight and during the day, well, there is far to much activity here. They really are such beautiful animals. How is it you get so close? I enjoyed this post!!!!

  19. Aren't they= foxes adorable! You're so fortunate that they even come out of hiding, nevermind get so close when you're lounging about outside at gin-o'clock.
