No, I'm not back yet and still vacationing......Hopefully about now I'm being a whole lot of glam, sweat, sugar, sex and spice, and bringing the shimmy, shimmy, strut, strut, and giving a lot of the what what!!!!!!

I scheduled a post just in case anyone stops in at the Casa and gets bored, or for my newer readers... I thought it might be fun to see what you might have missed. DEPARTING AGAIN.... IT IS SUMMER!

Why yes dear ones, this thing called work it's just torture I tell ya! TORTURE! But seriously, this is my quite time of the year, so you know most of the summer I'm hit or miss. This vacation got under way poolside this weekend at the Raven, relaxing for the packing don't know. My bags are all packed......

Another exciting trip for me to have fun and explore another charming location.........

 

 

this time I'm off to Amsterdam!!!!!!!!

 

I have been wanting to go there for sometime as my family on my father's side comes from there. Our family, way back when, was actually given land from the Queen of Holland at the time, and I understand there was once a town with our last name....but long gone. Mistress Maddie's #1 Fan and I depart tomorrow. It was between Amsterdam and Buenos Aires. But alas, if I go to the latter, I may never come back!!!!!!!!!! And I'm not even joking.

I just hope all my luggage gets through alright and checked...... Air flight is so fun , don't you think?

 

 

I wonder when happy hour on the plane will be?????

 

A whole week in the glorious European city....I'm very excited. I just hope the Red Light District is ready for the likes of me and that hag Maddie's #1 Fan. I hope we get some rest, as much as two whores can get. I won't be back till the second week of July, then have work for three days, and then off for another four with friends in the Pocono Mountains at my friend Gary's campsite, or in this case, gay glamping I call it. The Mistress don't do no tent now!!! And my good blogger pal and friend, the booze hound and ever lovely Kailyn is also coming for a visit from San Francisco at the end of July. God, I hope Philadelphia has enough hooch for the both of us!!!!!! So I will be out for a couple weeks, but have one post scheduled, and Ms Moorecock and the boys are also getting asses tanned somewhere or other......

 

 

So for now....I'm off to Amsterdam....

ANOTHER TEA DANCE WITH MJ

Well..... after laying poolside,  the Mistress's has had to bring the tea dance to the Casa as it looks like some pending rain may hamper the Raven's Tea Dance festivities. Stop by.... we are enjoying the old family recipe......

GAY PRIDE IN CLOSING

 

Since Gay Pride Month will be coming to a close soon, it reminded me of one of my favorite speeches that I have always loved. I always get a little tear well when I hear it, think it hits the nail on the head. Of all places it was from Queer As Folk. In the last episode Michael gave a speech as a survivor at a bombing, at an Equality gathering. I have always loved it.

 

 We're all the same. We wanna be happy, and have security and some extra money in our pockets. But in some ways our lives are nothing like yours. Why should they be? Do we all have to have the same lives to have the same rights? I thought diversity was what this country was all about? In the gay community we have men, women, drag queens, daddies, transsexuals, and couples with children. People are like snowflakes, everyone single one is special and unique. Being different is what makes us all the same-a family.

 

So the thumpa, thumpa continues, the gay pulse that keeps beating...letting us know were alive, it will always continue, no matter what, or who is president. As our Lady of Disco, the divine Gloria Gaynor has always said to us, WE WILL SURVIVE!

I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed, with this special , very addictive , tasty treat, but when it comes to the lush Josh Kloss per se, I will admit to having an extremely healthy fascination with him!!!!!! I have been crushin on him for some time and he would mostly likely make my top ten list of freebies ILTF!!!! If he looks familiar that's because  Katy Perry kisses him in her video for  “Teenage Dream“. Josh Kloss is a model/actor who played the character Chip Saunders in the now canceled series The O.C. Since the show ended, Josh hasn’t been in any movies or television shows. He’s really busy modeling like crazy and being ridiculously good looking. He also happens to be the father of a 6 year old little girl!!!! That is one sexy father! Enjoy the sampling… I sure did.

ORAL FIXATION- COCK-A-TAIL POPSICLES ANYONE?

Does that just look heavenly? And talk about talent! I love a guy who can  do a walrus impression!

Well , it looks as if summer has arrived here in the Northeast as the temps are now in the 90's along with our famous humidity and cotton candy hair!!!!! If your like the Mistress and enjoy summer, you probably like something nice, cool, and hard to sink your lips and teeth into. Something to suck on that will let you exercise your tongue. Work the oral stress away. The Mistress has always been very skilled when it comes to orally pleasing her guests. Now, I bet you people were thinking dirty weren't you? Like gutter dirty. Well, what I'm referring to is a childhood joy of slurping an icy popsicle on a hot day! What did you think I was talking about?

 

 

These pretty pastel pops serve up summer nostalgia and plenty of fun with a Mistress boozy adult twist.  Being the booze hound I am, you knew there would be a twist!!!!!The secret ingredient is Campari, the scarlet Italian aperitif made from herbs, spices and fruit.

It's traditionally served over ice with soda water and a slice of lime or a splash of juice. A great summer barbecue drink, like Pimm's,  Campari is also  refreshing in the heat and mild enough you can sip it all afternoon without worries, trust me, I have! No... I thought why not put it in frozen pops!!!! The pops are sweeter, fruitier and just plain fun. All you need is four ingredients and a couple of kiddie Popsicle molds from the 99 cent store. I have also used tall glasses if you want a long thick pop to suck on for you size queens, or  short wide plastic cups for those short and stubby suckers!!!!

 

 

 The pink grapefruit pops are perfect for Campari lovers – tart, with the alcohol's distinctly bittersweet flavor. If they were served in a little glass at a fancy restaurant you'd call them palate cleansing I tell ya! The orange versions are sweeter, a mouthful of frosty orange with a just a little extra something. Mix up a batch of each – Popsicles never felt so classy people. Give a couple to your cute lawn boy, before you know it, the shirts off and he's literally  eating out of your hands! If your lucky, he may even forget to charge ya.

 

 

 Take some down to the local fraternity house and you'll be the most popular cougar in town! My fraternity boys turn out in droves for these things. Hell, it will even liven up those Bridge games with the old neighborhood hens, before long you'll all be dancing around with lamp shades on your heads!!!! Good for those church choir rehearsals, and there also very popular with the neighborhood kids! They will help me get even with any neighborhood bitches. Here are the recipes-
Campari Citrus Popsiclesmakes 10-15, depending on the size

Grapefruit Pops
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
3 cups grapefruit juice
1/2 cup Campari

Orange Pops
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
3 cups orange juice
1/2 lemon, juiced
1/2 cup Campari
Mix the water and sugar together in a small pan over a low heat, and bring up to boil until the sugar dissolves. Allow the simple syrup to boil for 4 minutes, remove from heat and cool (makes a little over 1 cup). Combine the citrus juice and Campari and add 1 cup of the cooled syrup. You might  have a couple of glasses of Campari to make sure it is fine and taste right. wink!!!! Adjust to taste: for the grapefruit pops, you may want to add a tablespoon or two of extra syrup if you prefer them less tart. Remember, the mixture will taste slightly sweeter in liquid form than it does when frozen. Pour into Popsicle molds, or mold of choice,  and freeze at least 8 hours or overnight. To remove, run the molds quickly under hot water, and gently pull out the pops.

 

 

 

 Take them to your hot neighbor boys and enjoy the day as it gets hotter and hotter!!!!  Enjoy the week and the summer heat, it doesn't have to be unbearable!!!

DRAG RACE 7 WISHLIST

I have been meaning to post this for the Mahogany Empress, who dropped me a email in my Ask the Mistress Box!!!!

 She asks " Mistress, since you pegged the last season so well on how the queens would do and almost had the order down to a T, plus called Bianca as the winner from the beginning, I was wondering what queens you thought may be on the next season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Or who would you like to see?"

 

I like a good challenge so why not!!! We will have to see if any of these queens will get on! Here is who I think would make a good season....

 

1-Mayhem Miller

 

Mayhem is beauty, talent and a precise performer who would be great to watch. She is also one of the names that is growing quickly on the drag scene with her bring down shows.

 

2-Cake Moss

 

Cake is a mover and shaker and also likes to shakes things up She also has some new elements she is bringing to drag. She would be one of the shit stirs I'm sure.

 

3-Miss Fame

 

Miss Fame would be phenomenal!!! If you thought Chad Michael's was polished, you haven't seen anything yet. Her drag is impeccable.

 

4-Maddelynn Hatter

 

 

Maddelynn Hatter has a unique style, which the name suits, and she is one of the most usually creative performance artist I have seen. Her shows really mesmerize me.

 

5-Kasha Davis

 

Ok, Kasha may be a bit older, but this bitch is funny as hell!!!! I have seen her several times and almost died with laughter. She would bring the comedy for sure. Would she win? No. But in the meantime, she make for some fun viewing.

 

6-Panti Bliss

 

Because we would need some international flavor. Panti is from Ireland. I really think like Bianca, she has a lot to offer, and wouldn't it be neat to see what this legendary activists could bring to the table? Style, humor, dance, song, the things legends are made of......

 

7-Melissa BeFierce

 

An entertaining queen who is a great dancer and pretty cool style, and I think the name says it all.

 

8-Porcelain

 

Like Sharon Needles, Porcelain has a very distinctive style, very dark and Gothic. This Philly queen has flawless make up technique and can put on one hell of a show...more like a circus!!!! Incredible stage presence. She always bring the house down and a very cool person, don't let the picture scare you.

 

9-Asia Persuasia

 

First off cool name!!!! Second, with singing, dancing and creative looks , she would be fun to watch and may even add some of drama. Upon seeing her perform once, a got a Jujubee vibe with more attitude though, a lot more!

 

10-Pearl

 

Pearl has only been on the drag scene for about a year, but already is making waves and has some of the most creative looks and styles I've seen. I don't think the show has seen the likes of her yet. Course, I am partial to her look as yours truly also does  many hair accouterments like her! Think Jinkx meets Raja meets Courtney.

 

11-Bobbi Pinn

 

I would have to have Bobbi on for no other reason except for her humor and outrageousness!

 

12-Vita Opulence

 

 

Vita is another great performer,  your usual run of the mill memorable drag show, but her costumes and looks are so versatile, and she can nail just about any character, it would be interesting to see what she could bring to the show.

 

13-Eureka O'Hara

 

I feel Eureka would represent the big girl really well, and she is a sweet heart, funny and has very nice drag. She would bring what Darienne didn't.

 

14- Sissy Spastik

 

Now, if one could take Milk, Detox, and Raven and put them in a blender Sissy to me would be the result. The name alone tells one your in for some fun, and Sissy doesn't disappoint. If she made it on, I think I see her going pretty far. And she has some show stopping style y'all!!!!

 

So there you go Ms Empress!!!! Now let us wait and see! Tootles!

MONDAY MOMENTS..... WITH SOME GRATUITOUS MISTRESS

it's the dreadful Monday again!!!! I am over dramatic. Mondays aren't as bad as the ones in the winter!!! Hope everybody had a lovely weekend. I was back at my ever faithful Raven Resort with the gay boys and spent the weekend poolside....relaxing. One of the clan snapped this......Merry Christmas!

 

 

 I had my square cuts planned to wear, but it was a tad on the cooler side, so went with my short trunks instead.None the less,  I even did some dancing at the tea dance on Sunday, but now it's time to calm down and take a strong whiff.......and just relax.......
