ST PATRICKS DAY JIGS

Or as Anne Marie might say a St Patrick Day Dance Party! I think St Patrick's is a fun day. While I'm not fully Irish, my paternal grandmother was from Ireland. The rest of me rounded out with Dutch, Czech, and Swiss. I generally enjoy a corned Beef dinner with potatoes and greens and settle in to watch Finian's Rainbow. A fun fact, cards on the table...I also enjoy Irish music and folk music, in addition to dance , house and classical and jazz. I find it very festive or very calming.

And this calms me too.......

A Happy Saint Patrick's to you!☘☘☘

  15. I prefer Voiceplay"s version of Whiskey in the Jar. I'm just not into the music no matter what my DNA says.

    1. Yes, I like some of it but mostly find the softer music calming on some days. Folk music drives my mother up the wall. I only ran across this version of the Whiskey in the Glass.

  17. I'd almost forgotten today was St. Patrick's Day! We were at a Memorial for one of elders of the extended family. The mood was joyous because she was a vivacious and absolutely lovely woman. When we were in Savannah, St Pat's was a HUGE deal with the parade and all weekend long partys! Cheers, sweetpea! xoxo (love those Gardiner Bros!)

    1. I'm sorry to hear of your loss, but that the way to do it, especially if the person was vivacious. We shouldn't mourn but celebrate them and their life.

Fab selection of videos but the fourth one with the boys in green jackets was just WOW.
PS I love Hendricks but it is Scottish. Try 'Cork Gin' it's a gorgeous gin and Irish.
