STOP THE CAR!!!!

While I can understand the war in Ukraine and giving SOME aid, guys, I think DC and our politicians should formally request and be granted a month or two stipends for the Ukraine and have the money go to hurricane ravaged Puerto Rico...and also to the American Houseless population. After all they are part of our union, and we saw how much the previous presidential ass failed to help them. They were still rebuilding from the last big hurricane, and now another has hit...I have yet to hear any real substantial aide from our politicians yet. Just crickets.

  1. Where have you been? The second Biden declared Puerto Rico a disaster Federal Aid started moving in that direction. Unlike Trump, he began approving relief immediately.

    1. No I hadn't heard. Thank goodness. I don't understand these big sums we give other countries...and then let our citizens suffer in destruction. Amount other issues.

  2. There's so much need in our world, so much.

  3. I'm with you, though I understand that we are a leader in the world and so we step up quite a lot and perhaps let things here at home slide. I wish there was a simple solution, but short of becoming totally isolationist, I don't know what that looks like.

At least Biden didn't stock up on paper towels for Puerto Rico.

Biden started sending help immediately. They'll certainly get more than they did under tRUMP. A lot more. This time they're not only getting disaster relief funds but bodies to help them clean up and restore power and water. Uncle Joe is on it!

    1. Good. I must have missed the story. We need to start taking care of our own first.

  5. If people like Damned Unsaintly from Florida and Evil Abbot from Texas and all their friends in Congress spent less time fucking about with peoples' lives there'd be enough money to help the Ukrainians, the poor people of Puerto Rico and the homeless. At least your government is not determined to help the rich at the expense of the poor. Liz Trustless wants to help the poor bankers, to allow them to have unlimited bonuses because they just can't live on their salaries plus a bonus limited to 30% of salary. Meanwhile the poor are about to be legislated against yet again.

    1. At least while Democrats are in. If they lose....we will be screwed again. I will never understand government i guess. People need to rise up once and for all.

  6. After the power is back on and the clean-up is done, we need to make Puerto Rico a state!

  8. Good to see that the US government did actually respond quickly to Puerto Rico’s needs this time. Should we send the orange menace to throw out the first roll of paper towels?

  9. Yep, he did send funding...but I too agree. We have to start doing more on our own soil and fix things here first and stop getting in the middle of wars.

  10. My anger comes from not feeling supported by my own country when it is in shambles, when our government is happy to send out billions upon billions to others, but won't support us at home with healthcare and higher wages. I think that's where a lot of the anger comes from. It's not at the other countries; it's at our own!!!!!

  11. Yes we did send funds to PR ,thank goodness.... but I also agree we need to use many more funds here instead of sending so much to other countries. Yep, let the homeless stay homeless, let the hungry stay hungry, let hard working people continue with health coverage that is wiping them out, and letting people continue to struggle...instead of higher wages...while we send billions on weapons for somebody's else war. American first and THEN we help others. That money we send could've brought America back. But here we are in the comments.
