Funny how in the summer, I don't seem to mind the Mondays quite as much. I think it must be because it's already light out for one. It's also warmer, and since it's my quite time at work, my days are shorter since I actually leave work on time for once, giving me more time out of doors. Last week I came home one day and enjoyed a nice cold beer out doors on the porch. It then hit me that the little pleasures in life are just as important as the big events and milestones. You just have to look. This Monday, I'm sharing these pictures I captured of this lovely butterfly.....
Who was very busy collecting nectar flower to flower of these Hosta's.
One of the few little pleasures in life indeed.
Happy Monday All!
Gorgeous and Stunning! What a marvelous capture of a resplendent butterfly and vibrant flowers! Such a beautiful series of nature's wonders. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSmall moments are indeed enjoyable and special. It's always nice to find the time to do the things (and people ;) that make us happy!
Cheers!!!

Very purtiful pictures of flutter byes. xoxoxox
ReplyDeleteLovely, just lovely. In the top two pictures it looks like the flower is eating the butterfly, a la snake!
ReplyDeleteYou know, if we all had Monday off, everybody would start hating Tuesdays.
Another post that ticks all my boxes!😀
ReplyDeleteThe older I get the more I want to dump my "stuff" and indulge in nature.
Thanks again. Wonderful stuff!
I have to tell you....any nature related thing fasanates me to no end.
DeleteYou and I share similar enjoyment of nature... Jx
DeleteAnd thrown in some soft tempo lounge and gin and voilà ….the perfect day.
DeleteI wonder if that butterfly knew his or her picture was being taken.
ReplyDeleteThe Mistress has a way of picture taking and you wouldn't even know it.
DeleteGreat pictures. I'm having a Happy Monday. I slept in until a few minutes ago, and I'm going to grab tacos for lunch in a few hours.
ReplyDeleteand to think that flufferfly (what my sister called butterflies when she was young) was once a caterpillar...
ReplyDeleteWell, Carebear, a caterpillar is just a closeted gay worm that bursts out of its cocoon and turns into the drag queen of the insect world!
DeleteDon't mind me. I also think of paisley as flamboyant sperm. I really do wish I could blame my meds.
Oh dear.....i had a full bed spread of paisley once Duchess Deedles. What does that say about me?
DeleteExactly what it says on the tin. Jx
DeleteMaddie, you laying on a bedspread of flamboyant sperm, what does that say about you? Probably, it's Thursday or some such. It's a nice mental picture though.
DeleteDeedles!!!!!! I have never done that on a Thursday night...why I never.
DeleteMore like on A HUMP DAY DEAR.
Mistress, you will note that I didn't say Thursday night. Now, Thursday morning is a whole other thing! The morning after Wednesday night you could be spread out on flamboyant sperm, albeit dry. I've been reading way too many m/m romance novels.
DeleteA Swallowtail butterfly! How beautiful! They're my favourite type of butterfly, but I've never seen one in real life - around here, they're normally found only around the Norfolk Broads (south and inland of where I live).
ReplyDeleteHave you swallowed much tail? I mean: seen many swallowtails?
Usually only in the evening handsome.....im trying to watch my figure.
DeleteNice shots!
ReplyDeleteWhat makes Monday so great!! Watching the Idiot Jerk in the White House shit in his pants standing next to his blow buddy vlad. Even the Republicans are flailing his stinkin' ass.
ReplyDeleteConcentrate on the pretty butterfly Dave.... concentrate on the pretty butterfly...…..
DeleteI love those shots. Purty, purty, purty!
ReplyDeleteYou sure do have a way with nature Mistress. These are stunning pictures and to get so many. Brightened my Monday.
ReplyDeleteI love that last photo. Why don't you make these into greeting cards?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the simple little pleasures in life, and the large pleasures when you can find them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDelete"it's the small things in life." Like hugs. :-)
Hugs!
These pictures are stunning Mistress. I just said the other day to William I feel as though I don't see butterflies like I did when I was little. I feel as though I used to see all kinds of butterflies.
