Those of you that watched Pose, how about that show finale last night?!?!?!
Pose was grand, glamorous and uplifting to the end. This, in my opinion has to be one of Ryan Murphy's best shows he's created. The show was so well done, well written and he really nailed the feel and sense of what the sub culture of this part of the community was really like. I dare even say , it is one of the most entertaining shows on at the moment while still giving a bit of education. not to mention bought as the new "Alexis Carrington" Electra Abundance Evangelista, who brought some of this season's best snarky one liners on tv. Elektra hits back at the House of Ferocity with some truly artful shade I must say. To Lulu: “A foolhardy chunk who makes her living on the pole.” To Candy: “A brainless wonder who thinks the way to get curves is to stick Charmin in her drawers, or to inject cement into her derriere.” And to the both of them: “House of Ferocity, you two are about as fierce as my morning cornflakes … You think you’re on the road to being legends, but you couldn’t make it from here to the door without me pointing the way.” (Oh, and one more: “You’re nothing but bags of rancid, rotting meat, before she snaps her finger and turns to walk away. Dominique Jackson shows off her quippy talents in all of their scathing glory here. She leaves the House of Ferocity in pieces, luring a few of its members . I already can't wait for season 2.
And it was nice seeing seeing Bianca Castro, who used to go by Jiggly Calente who guest appeared!
The show renewed my faith in entertaining tv viewing, and I don't watch a lot of tv.
If you watched what did you think of this show?
Happy Monday All!
We love it. Can't wait for season 2!
ReplyDeleteThat bitch was jumping last night!!!!
DeleteAn incredible finale! When Electra snarked a bit loud as the new Hostess at the restaurant, I thought, "Oh, girl, you gonna get yourself fired. You need to be classier than that in this place." But, Lo! and Behold! she still had a job in the end.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love that Blanca was handed Mother of the Year.
This show will be on my watch list. Murphy and Fulchak can do no wrong - at this point, anyway!
I thought that was funny!!!! She was there after all, for crowd control, to let the right trendy crowd in....and New York was very much like that then...and the bridge and Tunnel crowd is STILL despised in NY, trendy spots. Hell, I wouldn't let them in either.
DeleteThat show is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThis show is both educational and entertaining - we love it!! And while Elektra's shade is legendary, she's actually the weakest link when it comes to acting. The show is full of talent, and like you, I'm eagerly awaiting season 2.
ReplyDeleteI think it's the way her character talks that she comes off like that. I think the one that seems useless at the is point is the wife of Evan Peters' character. Once they get divorced, I see no point in keeping her. I also read that the actress playing the dance teacher is being replaced, because of other projects she has. I thought it was touching she was with them all for dinner in the closing scene.
