Anything BUT a Domestic Goddess

She always brought a lot of acting and fashion to a role, but Did she look any better than in The Thomas Crown Affair? Faye Dunaway had such elegance, panache and just the right retro chic. She was just stunning and still is. If women still dressed liked this.....alas, a time gone by.

Is it any wonder I loved this movie?

  1. My SIL and I were talking about how our mothers used to dress - gloves, hats and heels to go into the *city*.

I'm with Bob on that one. I still have a healthy aversion to wire hangers to this day.

  11. I love both versions of the Thomas Crown Affair. But for sartorialism and elegance Faye Dunaway's iconic outfits and the way she carries them has to be my favorite of both versions. She has a way of making an entrance which you can't take your eyes off.

  12. One of my favorite movies too. It's not the clothes but the way you wear them". You can have all the designer clothes in the world but if you don't know how to carry yourself it's wasted. Faye Dunaway is the epitome of classy cool here, Have you seen her lately?

  14. When I think of Faye Dunaway THIS is how I think of her.She was hot in her prime. I just adore these looks here. Her plastic surgery on the other hand.........

  15. Oh, Faye. I love her. To death. For me she can do no wrong... except for that time on Ari O's yacht, when she got hold of a butcher knife and went after poor little Christina O. No, seriously... years later we all had to laugh when she did practically the same thing on-screen to that fictional Christina. But no, know one was laughing on the yacht that day. Well, except for Maria Callas. But then, THAT bitch would laugh at anything... just saying. - Uptonking from Wonderland Burlesque

    1. What? Are you serious? Why I would probably been sitting right next to Callas laughing right with her!
