Imperial Courts Big Night

The Imperial Court of New York and Emperor XVII Rob Hunter de Woofs and Empress XXII Charlene Chivoe will host the 23rd Annual Night of a Thousand Gowns, an extravagant charity event on Saturday March 21, 2009 at the Times Square Marriott Marquis Hotel. The current Monarchs.

This years Charity Ball will benefit Lifebeat- The Music Industry Fights AIDS and MCCNY Homeless Youth Services. If your in New York City and don't know what to do with yourself join the good people at the ball that night. This year the Mistress won't be attending but next year I hope to go and would love to take my sister Mamie,AKA David Dust with me. Could y'all see us bitches in big gowns? Anywho, The main event of the ball is the midnight coronation of the next Imperial Court Monarchs. The star-studded event will feature Broadway-caliber numbers, a full course dinner, Viennese Dessert, open bar and dancing. This year's Honorary Chairs include Sir Elton John CBE, Patti LuPone, Joan Rivers, John Cameron Mitchell, and Dame Robin Strasser. Grammy winner Michelle Williams headlines the event, Broadway's Christopher Seiber will perform, comic Lea DeLaria will do her schick, cabaret star John DeMarco, trans-rocker Lucas Siveria and Billie Ray Martin will add their song styling. The Imperial Court of New York raises more money than any other gay charity around, and have fun doing so. This night in particular is the most lavish, glamorous, and outrageous event this side of anywhere! You can go The Imperial Court of New York's site here to get tickets.

  4. How totally fab. Based on this - and few other comments made by Kailyn- I think your paths may cross with IRL sister's.

I adore fundraisers- which is good- since I spend about 55% of my job fundraising...

But fashion and fundraising are my faves... I adore the Passport Fashion show in SF and this looks way, way fiercer....

I another life I would be a stylist not a nonprofit/gov't fundraiser an d program developer...

    thanks for dropping by today
