I've long said the Democratic Reps in Philly don't play. They have the balls and the old school attitude, "I'll slap the shit out of you first and ask questions later.

All these anti gay, trans, pride and anything related to the LGBTQIA+ haters need therapy and to get a life. They just want everyone to be as miserable as they are. They see joy we bring to the world and it reminds them of the lack of self love. I feel like this is a never ending battle sometimes. Summer Lee is one to watch for.

Lord, if more Dems had that kind of chutzpah right now it would turn the tides. This party has a reputation for being aloof and non-confrontational and that shit needs to STOP. If we represented just as hard and just as loud as the opposition does it would make a world of difference. I don't mean covering one's car with inane stickers and flying flags all over Hells half acre, I mean stating our views and terms loudly and forthrightly and CONSISTENTLY in the face of naysayers. Ms. Lee is doing just that and I love it!

Many of my long-term Democrat friends that said the same thing we can still be allowed obnoxious like the Republicans the only difference is our views make sense. It annoys me because we just seem to take our good old time getting stuff done. But the Dems do is good, we just need to light a fire under their God damn ass and balls.

ReplyDeletePeople want to make everyone else responsible for how they 'feel'. They don't want to take personal responsibility for anything. They claim fear, when they are merely too lazy or incapable of moving through the thought process which would help them evolve and develop empathy. They're too self-centered to be bothered. That's why McDonald's exists. It's for people who deal with food the same way they deal with social issues - a kind of shorthand means of dealing with living. In the end, I have to ask - who the hell are these people? What is wrong with them? The only thing they really fear is asking more of themselves... as if compassion were this rare thing which they are unable to produce themselves. Empathy requires a bit of self-reflection and analysis - which apparently either these people are incapable of or too lazy to bother with. F 'em. I hope the Zombies eat them first.

DeleteI intensely dislike these people who tell me what I can and cannot do. No-one is making them marry someone they don't want to, whatever the sex. In the UK our friends and loved ones cannot help us commit suicide if our lives are no longer worth living....and the reason for that is those who believe that god finds it abhorrent if you kill yourself. I don't believe in god so why should your god be able to decide what I can and cannot do? I certainly do not believe I have the right to tell you not to worship your god or to kill yourself if you don't want to. But why should I have to go to Zurich if I need to die?

Just because I don't agree with certain people doesn't mean I'm losing sleep over it. And I never tell them how to live their life or what to do with their bodies or who to have sex with.

ReplyDeleteThe reason I left the US. I hated the Republicans and COULD NOT STAND trump...and like what Steve above said, the democrats were coming at things aloof and non-confrontational, and weak. I thought if they don't get back bone, they will never take the country back. So when my job took me out of the US, I jumped ship. Right now, the US is at a tipping point....but which way?????? If voters don't wisen up...I fear the end of the US as we know will be done. With these parties one never knows. But I love the nerve of this Summer Lee.
