Very sad. I adored her. She grounded Moonstruck, giving it a weight it sorely needed. "If you can't say anything nice... come sit by me." from Steel M's is a classic - again - a great balance act. And Tales of the City got me through one very miserable winter in Iowa (a terrible state), and for that, I will be eternally grateful. We will miss her.

ReplyDeleteI first saw her (and fell in love with her) when she played Mrs Madrigal in "Tales of the City." She was a good friend and ally to the LGBTQ+ community. Rest in peace.

Her "Moonstruck" performance is still my favorite. Her delivery on "That's too bad." is classic!
