MASKED BANDITS

The Mistress yesterday had my first hot date since, ah well, hummmm, well I can't remember. I'll be honest...It's been so long, I wouldn't know a hot date or a cock if one bit me it's been so long!!!!! None the less, I got ready, sanitized, masked, and gloved, grab my goodie bag and headed for one of those boozy lunches. You know, the ladies who lunch. The Masked Bandits were spotted!!!!!!
Yes, that's right. The infamous Anne Marie was my lunch date, and if you know us...as per usual it was another three hour lunch!!!!!!! Neither of us is working, or had been indoors to dine since this pandemic started. We met in North Wales, and I know I was pleasantly surprised. Hardly anyone was there, so it was a relief, temps and a few questions were taken and recorded, and the staff there were at all times masked and gloved. It was a relief, And of course the drinking and conversation and gossip began and just a few or more bashes made about the dump!!!!!
In addition to the great company, was the music. It was as if it one of Anne Marie's dance parties commenced. She broke out in song many a time and at one point I was hoping she wouldn't get up on the table like last time. We will never be invited back there.
We both indulged on some really good pizza with more libations. Followed by desserts for both of us. I was so stuffed by time we lift, I thought I going going to need a shoe horn to get in the car. I didn't eat the rest of the night.
We met up because I had commissioned Anne Marie to knit my mother a winter scarf as a Christmas gift at the beginning of the pandemic. Not only did she pick two swell colors of green, my mother's favorite color, but it is so soft! Some of you are aware she is very talented when it comes to knitting, and I wish she would share her creations more on her blog. They are works of art. I also have a scarf she knitted me. And the dear even gifted me two lovely smelling candles as a belated birthday gift from a local candle maker located here in Chestnut Hill. They are burning as I type,  and smell wonderful. I will post pictures later in case prying eyes should view my blog, but I doubt , my mother reads often. But ...the highlight of the day arrived when the ABBA gods showed up and a ABBA ditty came on! It was so timely and funny because if you saw Sunday's post here you'll understand.  And she did do a bit of soft shoe once when standing. I thought her jaboobies would clear the glassware off the table! But it was so good to get out, probably will be my last time to dine out now, as the outdoor patios close up,  and looks like indoor dinning is going to be shut down in PA very shortly, as this Friday Philly will be doing... with the pandemic now raging. It was a good day with talk and laughs, some jest and some brilliant zingers... and friendship. And for that I'm grateful. And no ABBA today. I'm sure Anne Marie will drink to that!!!!

  6. Oh you two are so much fun! Anne Marie (my little Carebear) should show her face more often. Even masked, she makes me grin from ear to ear! Considering her language, that blue mask is so apropos. As for you, Mads, I want that hat! It's beautiful and I would wear it proudly. Oh, wait, it's a ring damn it! I love it, but my fingers couldn't handle it. Oh well. This reminds me that I need to get my Anne Marie artwork out because it's finally cold here. YAY!

You're probably right, Ms Mahogany. However, I sure hope he doesn't have a head quite that small. Just sayin'.

And Mistress, on a side note, the clip reminds me of the night the late Ms.Strich showed up unexpectedly at the Raven and sang with the boys in the Piano Bar. Was that a night or was that a night? And could she put the liquor away. She was right up there with you.

Good to see W.Q. in 'action'. If only we'd had a video of her face just when the 'A' music came on but that would have been a mighty big ask. Just imagining it makes me chuckle mightily.

  20. Talk about my dream date! The two of you together! Wow. It's like half the Beatles got together. Sweet. Glad you had a lovely time and shared. You both looked marvelous. Elaine Stritch. I got to see her at the State Theatre on her last tour. She was solo... just her and a big brick wall. She told lots of stories and sand 'em all. I was very lucky to have a friend who had an extra ticket. One of those prized moments. Thanks for the memory. And all the pics. You look great in denim! Grrrr. Kizzes
