Well...it looks as if Buster Bolfig Borghese is well on his way to turning 18 in November. Buster had his Vet appointment the other day, and the vet was simply amazed at his health, no lumps or bumps, clear lungs, muscles and joints in good condition with very little arthritis, no stomach issues, only lost a pound, and no loss of appetite or sign of cataracts. She is amazed, as we all are. About the only thing he didn't like was when he got a small finger up the backside. He got a bit cranky about that stunt.
Though he does like his naps.
He looks rather pleased of his clean bill of health. Of course, some incoming bacon might have had something to do with that. Our search for a second canine ended. As my uncle has not moved south yet to Ashville because of Helene, we have officially taken ownership of my aunt and uncles dog Sophie! In his retirement community where he will be living, dogs are allowed only if the owner can get them out and walk them regularly. At 92, he, health wise is fine, but he does walk with a cane, and has been known for some falls, so he opted to not take Sophie south with him and was adamant we take her to the Casa du Borghese. Sooooo this week we officially welcomed Sophie home with us!!!!
She has settled in very nicely at the house, but not like she doesn't already know us.
It's finally Friday!
And Im in the mood for some Jungle! Boy this group just gives me chills.
Happy birthday Buster!! November's a great month to have a birthday!
ReplyDeleteWell, Buster, you go dude! That's very good news, indeed. And, Sophie is just so plain adorable, I may have to come and steal her! 😉
ReplyDeleteHi Sophie!! And Happy Birthday to Buster, too!!
ReplyDeleteYay, Buster!
ReplyDeleteSuch a relief. As pets grow older, those news are always welcome. Pity your uncle cannot take Sophie with him (walking a doggie while walking with a cane? No.) but she'll be well taken care of.
And that song? I live!
XOXO
Great news about Buster and glad you're able to give Sophie a new home!
ReplyDeleteAh, Buster Bolfig Borghese - the distinguished elder statesman! I'm glad to hear he's in such good health. He may outlast us all! And dear Sophie is just adorable! What a lovely addition.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Bitey had a finger up his bum at the vet's yesterday. Like Buster, he was not amused.
Damn! It seems like just yesterday Buster was a baby and now look at him! Yee AND Haw.
ReplyDeleteAnd Sophie looks like a sweetheart!
You should have asked the vet to finger you instead! Jx
ReplyDeleteI thought about....but could she been a hot he...I would have!
DeleteBuster is in a whole lot better shape than I am! Sophie is a cutie, but the B-dog has my heart.
ReplyDeleteI'm very glad Buster is doing so well! And, welcome Sophie!
ReplyDeleteBoth Buster and Sophie have won the doggie lottery! They couldn't have a better home, I'm sure. Xx
ReplyDeleteBuster doesn’t look a day over 11 and Sophie is adorable. The title reminds me of Madd Magazine’s version: All the news that fits we print.
ReplyDeleteSome days...Im Mad. Completely off my rocker!
DeleteOh! How fitting that you should take on Sophie. And big scritch to Buster for his check-up. Sporran, just turned 17, says congrats. (But she doesn't much like dogs!)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Buster! 18 years old, huh? Old enough to vote!
ReplyDeleteTundra Bunny here...
ReplyDeleteWho's a good birthday boy? BUSTER!!! Hope Maddie treated you to something more fun than a veterinary visit.... Sophie is a cute companion, but don't let her turn you into a baby bunny killer, eh?
Too cute! Sophie will be a welcome addition!!! And Buster must be treated well to be living so long. 18 is nothing to sneeze at for a dog. He is too adorable.
ReplyDeleteBuster looks so stoic and statesmen like in the first picture. The Master Hound of the Estate!!!! And Dame Sophie! She looks like she will fit right in. Like a little teddy bear.
ReplyDeleteThe song. the group is near perfect!!!!!
I can't believe Buster is going to be 18!!!! He must get good aging genes from the Mistress???
ReplyDeleteAnd Sophie Elder- Borghese. ADORABLE! It almost looks like Sophie Ellis- Bextor. Could your Sophie be a diva too?? And Jungle?!?! Obsessed with this group too. The music, the performers, the sound......
How much cuteness can exit in one household?
ReplyDeletewoof, woof, pant-pant-pant.
ReplyDeleteYay for Buster’s health and a growing dog family! may you all live long healthy lives together!
ReplyDeleteMy luck I'll live to be over 100. It's nice to have two dogs again since Lillith's passing.
DeleteBuster est si gentil et Sophie est si chanceuse. :)
ReplyDelete-Beau Mec à Deauville
There faces!!!! Im melting. We have all long loved Buster...a handsome dog. And how will two princesses do in the same house? Or are you the queen? Lol.
