  1. Just saw where Sophia Loren was asked about Gina dying & part of Sophia's
quote was that she was, "shaken." Shaken? When someone 96 dies?

    Okay.

It's simply that who else but a bosom buddy
Will tell you the whole stinkin' truth?"

  3. She was very popular when I was very young. Interestingly, Le Monde sent me the headline a few hours before American media announced her death.

  7. When I was young, I used to get her confused with Sophia Loren. Didn't matter, I loved them both. I'm at the point in my life when I say, wow she was ONLY 96! May she rest in peace.

  19. An interesting video here in Italian, where Gina tells he says when he met Marilyn Monroe: she was afraid to meet her: "They call me the American Gina Lollobrigida"!

  20. You should see "Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell", she's great in it. Mama-Mia follows the plot premise.
