  16. She actually isn't the first Black woman to star in a sitcom. She is the first to star in a non stereotypical domestic help role. That, I believe, was Ethel Waters, in Beulah. She quit because of the demeaning portrayal of Blacks. I forget who took her place. Ethel Waters did have a t.v. variety special in 1939. The first person of color, male or female, to do so. Thus endeth the lesson. Anne Marie, no one plays trivia games with me anymore. *Sigh*

    2. Cello Josh, I love trivia games, especially anything that has to do with entertainment. Geography, just no! I once beat my sister at Trivia Pursuit because she threw a geography question at me, knowing I suck. It was What is the capitol of Montana. Heh, I knew the answer was Helena only because Gary Cooper was born there and I'd read his biography. I'm not even a sore loser or winner and no one will play.
