…..but not because of anything bad....it's just the Monday blues as usual. How bad can it be...it will only be a two day work week. This weekend was a lovely time at the Woods Campground, more later, but I brought back these lovely sunflowers from a field...they did brighten the Monday morning....
Speaking of No Tears Left to Cry... we may also need a peppy ditty today.I'm by no means a huge fan of Ariana Grande, but I will say this may be the only song by her I like, and if you think I would knock her out to get that dress she wears in the hallway, you'd be correct.
I'd love a sunflower, but you can keep Mimi Mariah.
ReplyDeleteTo each their own. I'd prefer carnations and Aretha to cheer up my morose Mondays. Missed you. You can be gone for just a couple of days and it feels like months! Stalkerish, huh?
ReplyDeleteNot starkish.....but I lovely comment. Makes me feel happy to know you miss me.
DeleteI've got the Monday blues. It's almost as if I'm still tired from last week.
ReplyDeleteWe may not be huge fans of Ariana Grande, but I hear Pete Davidson is.
Loves the sunflowers - very cheery. While traveling last week we saw a field of corn bordered by a couple rows of sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteNothing like seeing them in great numbers in a field.
DeleteWe had sunflowers like that growing behind our garage back in the day. So,okay, there were plenty of other things growing back there, too! :-D
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Poor you. May the Monday blues and Tuesday pass qjuickly... and may they be surprisingly wonderful days at work (I've heard that's possible sometimes although I never experienced it myself).
ReplyDeleteOh yes, after Monday it's all downhill tootes!
DeleteThose pictures of the sunflowers most certainly brightened my dreay Monday. I agree, can't stand Arianna Grande either but for some reason do love that song.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea whom Ariana Grande was until last year when a bomb was detonated in Manchester at one of her concerts. I live just north of Manchester and so it was on our local news for weeks. Apparently she really stepped up, giving money, doing a charity concert to raise monies for the victim's families and visiting all the children injured so good on her, I say. Her music is not to my taste, I'm far too old and wrinkly.....
ReplyDeleteSunflowers always make me smile. We holiday in France most years and there are mile after mile of them, smiling at the Sun. Wonderful!
I'm with needles. Where have you been for such a long time?😉
Welcome home.
It was cloudy today, so I figured the sunflowers would brighten our days.
DeleteI also have to agree with you on Grande's charity show which raised a ton of money for the victims of Manchester. Anyone who does that can get my respect if I'm a fan or not. This is the only song I really like from her.
Sorry Deedles. Auto correct.......
ReplyDeleteThat's our Deedles. Always needling us.......
DeleteThat's okay, Christina, as long as it wasn't Freudian :)
DeleteIt's pouring rain today. Mother Nature is crying on Monday. Those sunflowers are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSunflowers.....one of my favorite flowers...no denying that sunny yellow! Looking forward to your camping post, errrrr glamping post I meant.
ReplyDeleteyou would look SMASHING in that dress; you can kill the bitch wearing it. LOVE the sunflowers!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite quote: "Ariana Grande? I thought that was the name of a font."

PS As Christina says, though the little madam's "music" is utter tripe, her response to the utter carnage caused by the suicide bomber at Manchester Arena was admirable. It must have been a helluva lot to take on for a girl who is only in her early twenties.
Agreed tootes! It was a admirable moment.
DeleteJust remember, if it weren't for Monday, there'd be no reason to look forward to the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love those shots of your sunflowers!!! Bright and colorful for the cloudy day here. I also have to say this song is her best, now I have it in my head... and the video is cool as hell. Like other commented I'm not a fan but she is to be commended what she did for the victims and families of Manchester...even if she did it for publicity. It still benefitted many.
ReplyDeleteI was just dancing my ass off to this song Saturday night. Her video usually stink, but this was very.... artsy for her.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sunflowers!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind Ariana Grande. But right now, I'd rather have a burrito grande.
Get one for me too will you?
DeleteI have had that song in my head for weeks now. The dance remix with her and Gaga is better though.
ReplyDeleteSunflowers always remind me to bronze in the sun.
