She raises a good question in this lovely holiday ditty........

  1. Kudos to Eydie, not only for the usual stellar rendition of the song, but for including the verse portion which, to my recollection, nobody else did. She had such a great voice.

    1. I say you can't go wrong with songs by Eydie or Joanne Worley at a party.

  6. Thanks for sharing this nearly-forgotten gem - I haven't heard it in a long time.

And, yes - that is very definitely a photo of Eydie.

  8. Loved Eydie ... had a wee gayling crush on Steve though.

  9. When she released "Bossa Nova" I hated it - thought she couldn't carry a tune in a paper bag. As she aged, her voice matured well. I've a friend who adored her, went to see her and (husband) Steve at every opportunity.
The tragedy of her their son's death truly did a number on her, though.
Anyway, buddy, NY's Eve will be quiet around here. Staying in, away from the craziness. If you go out, have a fabulous time - but be safe, my friend.
Thank you for always taking the time to stop by and comment on my blog; I love ya for it.
Happy New Year, Mistress! May it be happy, healthy, and may you always have plenty of everything you need and wish for.
