Continuing our tour of the holiday windows this year, another stop has got to be Saks Fifth Avenue, who most years doesn't disappoint. Saks is always a good stop during the holidays if you don't get to New York but once a year...for the spirit of the holidays is really located here with many things to see....St.Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, and it's stunning tree, and Saks Christmas windows and light show they do off the façade of the building. This year, while Bergdorf Goodman is always my favorite and elegant, I thought Saks was REALLY PRETTY STUNNING, maybe their best ever. Park Avenue princesses will rejoice at the sight of The Winter Palace, which was their theme, replete with an ice cold chandeliers and clothing that even an ice queen would approve of!
The light show and inside were just as elegant.
very pretty - thanks for the tour! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteGorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI imagine you might like to live in one of those windows!
AHHHHHHH, You know me so well.
DeleteI really love these displays - with such an icy, wintery appeal. Spectacular!!
ReplyDeleteThe very best time to be in NY is during the holiday season.
While I ADORE Bergdorfs I have to say Saks this year were my favorite, the first ever. I have never seen the light show...just a bit too crowded for me at my age.
ReplyDeleteThose are just amazing. Creative people just blow my mind. I have always enjoyed Sex, I mean Saks when in New York. I'm also enjoying your Christmas post lately.
ReplyDeleteIf you didn't already work for another company, I 'd say these had you written all over them. They are quite stunning.
ReplyDeleteStunning! I especially like the woman at the piano.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Since we moved from New York to Southern Flordia, the pre-holiday season still just doesn’t have the same sparkle…
ReplyDeleteWow…that’s amazing. Whoever’s vision this was deserves some major awards. (or applause)
ReplyDeleteFantastic, especially inspiring for us in Amsterdam.
ReplyDeleteI thought their windows were divine also! But the crowds in that, area are insane.
ReplyDeleteI too thought Saks were my favorite so far along your tour. These are just breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteIt’s so nice to see this lost art has not gone extinct. What a beautiful post as was the others…this is a true tour de force. thank you
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous! NY is my favorite destination in December, and this is one of the reasons. I haven’t made it there for the last few years (and won’t this year, sadly) so thank you for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteFantastic as ever. Saks windows are always so theatrical, every installation is a glittering, elaborate performance behind the glass.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat to see them! If you move in, I'll move in with you. Love the icy feel.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! You're making me wonder if the store in La Jolla has decorations like this.
ReplyDeletespectacular!!!!
ReplyDeleteStunning! I really had to double check that that wasn't you in the window holding court. The light show looked amazing as well.
ReplyDeleteIce. Queens. What's missing is gin. Jx
ReplyDeleteyou know, when viewing these windows, I though the same thing. Great minds dear.....
